Hmm...

You are wrong
Many Girls have such strict Parents
they do not know about a choice.
I think most parents would actually suggest an abortion or Adoption though. No parent would force children onto their daughters if they weren't prepared.

Good idea, less kids born accidentally and less kids put in homes/adopted.

If girls have strict parents surely they wouldn't listen to an advertisement. I know it's their own choice but surely they wouldn't go behind their parents back and do it? Not at the risk of them finding out

I don't see what it really achieves advertising on TV, increasing the number of abortions isn't the right way to to solve the problem of teenage pregnancies, not in my opinion anyway.

It could make the under age pregnancy rate rise?

if you think about it, young people seeing abortion adverts on telly will get the wrong idea about it and think that it will be okay to have unprotected sex!

Abortion is the last step anyone can take to terminate a pregnancy.

Perhaps the Government should...
A) focus more on getting boys and girls carrying and using condoms,

B) getting girls on the pill.

All this before it starts idolising Abortion as a third form of contraception!

Anyone Agree/Disagree?

Those New Adverts would be shown under Family Viewing times
and many Girls go behind there parents back
and many times - they have no choice but to.

I'm quite against this. Although I am very much pro-choice, if someone have made the decision to abort they can easily find a clinic without and advert. Not to mention how many people are against it, it hardly needs to be plastered across their screens. I also fail to see how it could possibly be done tastefully.

The Health Results have found many young girls can not find
information.
That is why these Ads are being made.

Fom, I take it you have seen the ad that has not been made yet as you are so ready to complain?
Thats not the point, it will still be advertising that you can go and get an abortion, so people will think its OK to have unprotected sex because they'll be able to go and get rid of it.

If the advert is saying anything along the lines of 'It is OK to have an abortion' then I will complain, even if they hint it, I don't see why it should be sugar coated to make it look like its acceptable. It is like putting on an advert for christianity, it is against a large section of this countries beliefs... so why would you do it?

And ruin teenagers lives? If they got in the situation, then to be fair they had it coming. Keep your legs closed until you are mature enough to handle the consequences.

You need to learn not everyone looks at the world as you do, we have different opinions, different faiths and upbringings. As I said, they would not advertise a religion, so why advertise one part of a very serious argument in this country. Its bonkers, if girls are so desperate to get an abortion, they will find out how.
By advertising it you are just making it commercial and making it look like its the in thing to do, even if its saying 'You shouldnt do this but here is the number just in case' it will have an effect, its like advertising cigarettes and going 'You shouldn't really smoke this but here are the shops you can buy it in just in case...'

I agree with Michelle on this one, stop spending money on this and spend more money on safe sex adverts, condoms when used correct will solve a lot of these problems, an implant from the doctors or the pill can also stop this. But aborting it while its already developing? (Delving into my opinion on abortion here, I digress)

Atheists run adverts stating there is no God, so isn't that the same thing.

Kind of pathetic and sick you can make jokes about killing unborn children.
