I got the email back:

Dear Salv, Thank you for your e-mail querying the availability of the red buttoninteractivity on this year's BIG BROTHER. The red button 24-hour streaming facility was discontinued prior to the lastseries of CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER and we have no plans to reintroduce thisservice for the current edition of BIG BROTHER. The main reason behind this decision is that we?ve found the number ofviewers choosing to use the red button facility has dropped significantlyand more and more viewers chose to watch the clips provided on the officialBIG BROTHER and other websites. So we have shifted our resources to coverthese areas and have new fanzones, on Twitter and Facebook as well as ourown site, and we?ll also be working extensively with partners such as Bebo,Youtube and MSN to deliver footage to BIG BROTHER fans to keep them fully upto date with what?s happening in the house. However, live streaming will be available on both E4 and Channel 4 latenight/early morning and we will be showing all the other great shows thatmake up the BIG BROTHER experience, like BIG BROTHER'S LITTLE BROTHER ANDBIG BROTHER'S BIG MOUTH.

I told you they need to spell and type properly!

Exactly the same than the one above!! Obviously,

Ch4 could not drop it
this is there Top Show in every freaking way.

ah thanks arista... It's all clear to me now. Thank you.

what is there to enjoy? the concept is dead, missing. The entire format is based upon watching them 24/7 - that has now been lost, ergo, the show is over.
To be honest the normal person does not care, I watch the highlights show and that is all, sometimes I miss even them. No one cares about watching them 24/7 the idea of doing that is boring, people only want to see the cut down edited version, you get all the info you need in a small space of time.

The only people complaining are people who have too much time on their hands.

I agree. Surely no more than 5% of veiwers watch live feed and under 0.5% actually care/realise its missing.

If you don't like it don't watch it, complaints is the reason they want to stop the show

what a complete load of ****. You only have to dip your toe onto here or DS to find that thousands of people watched it and want it back. Anyone who would settle for an over edited, manipulated 40 minute highlights show gets an extremely warped view on the housemates.

There are 42 Big Brothers worldwide. 41 of those have round the clock live feed. Can you guess which is the only one that doesn't?

without the feed it is not big brother - it's just another lame reality show.

There is no point in complaining. Decision has been made now accept it!
The majority of people don't watch it and those who do well most don't care that much so theres no reason for them to bring it back
I would have liked to watch it this morning but I can accept it isn't there and do something else instead of complaining about it over and over again
Watching them 24/7 was the concept of the show but since then it has changed and it is now an entertainment show.
and if the live feed issue is effecting it for anyone then just stop watching.

I know! +k They will feel like strangers, just watching events happen live wont exist anymore (except for when they move around in the beds at night).

I will have to make the most of it though, and watch BBLB and BBBM all the time just to fill me in wth the news.

Absolute bullcrack mate...

The ENTIRE PREMISE of Big Brother was that it was a "Revolutionary new reality Television Show which allowed the viewing public to monitor the behaviour and actions of a set number of individuals locked away inside a house around the clock, 24/7."

THIS is what drew people into Big Brother... THIS is what made Big Brother. And believe me there are A LOT MORE than just the "odd couple of thousand people compared to the supposed 3.5+ million who watch it" (as some have said) complaining to CH4, Endemol etc about this and have been each time they've watered down our viewing abilities year by year.

We are the only country not to have a live feed, also remember "You can follow the actions 24/7 and monitor the HMs" i swear thats the kind of motto/sloogan of the show ever since BB1.

I'm happy it's on at night but it'd be even better if it was on in the daytime too, expecially as it's summer soon and no school/college for alot of us. Thanks +k for you too! [I noticed we're supporting basically the same housemates too lool]

I wouldn't mind if it was on 11am-2:00 or something
then 11:00-6:00am

that wouldn't be too bad.
I want to know the housemates, we can't get to know them all in ONE HOUR a night, surely.
