You are absolutely right. If BB was going to inform HMs about Michael then why not the wonderful, beautiful Farrah, R.I.P. (although the young ones in the house probably wouldn't know who Farrah was). Unless it is a family member or exceptionally close friend they shouldn't be told anything. And remember they go into the house knowing that they are kept from the outside world.

How funny would it have been if Big Brother had them a MJ task all this week then just before they announced the task result, told them all......
"By the way, he died!"

How about telling them allin a guessing task?

"Somebody who hasn't made a decent record in well over a decade has died. And no, we're not talking about Madonna."

Right decision, they shouldn't be told. The contestants are shut off from the outside world and shouldn't be given information which wont directly effect them. If they were told about his death then im sure there is a case for housemates to be told of stories of more importance. Exceptions to rules can't be made

Eh? lol I dont get it personally... Why should they be told?

MJ is just another human being right? He made some good albums in the 80s, sure, Off the Walll and Thriller were ok, a few of his singles have been great, but is his death really any more notable then anyone elses now? Why should it broadcast into the house?

Anyhow, the whole idea of BB is to isolate the HMs from reality as much as possible in order to allow them to create their own... I personally dont think the sad (any humans life ending is sad) death of a faded pop star is worth breaking that for. They will know it soon enough.

I am not even gonna go into my personal doubts about him as a decent person based on past events. I will allow those to rest with him.

EXCLUSIVE: 'EastEnders' films Michael Jackson reference
Friday, June 26 2009, 15:09 BST

By Kris Green, Soaps Editor

BBC soap EastEnders has filmed a last-minute scene to be edited into tonight's episode referencing Michael Jackson's death, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.

A scene towards the beginning of the episode will see Denise Wicks (Diane Parish) wish her surrogate father Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) a happy birthday, before mentioning the sad news of Jackson's passing.

The show will also contain a track from the King Of Pop playing in the background of a scene elsewhere in the episode.

Talk about OTT!!!

The fact you use such terms suggests that you are the bigger one.

'king of pop' is just a phrase that the media used to make him popular to their readers , he was also a very good dancer, but never a king, bit like poor old Charles, he will never be king of anything!!! lol

Russia couldn't be more PC at the moment.

I've been to Iceland and bought a lovely big sausage. That fat cow Kerry Katona had eaten all the pizza's and pies.

This is final straw for me. I've had it with Channel 4 and the way they treat BB, and the housemates, like rubbish.

Won't be surprised then to see that the number of viewers will drop below 1 million this weekend.

Channel 4 wanted to kill off, BB, now they have. Bravo.
is this post meant to be irony?

Honest question.
