Premiere thoughts

I actually enjoyed this first episode! I've never watched a premiere live, so it was different to experience it that way. It was a lot more tense and exciting. I think the housemates are strong cast so far, but it could all go to **** once alliances are formed and the people we liked turn out to be awful and the people who align with them are disliked by default

I'm not sure how I feel about the team twist. I prefer when houseguests play individually. It's quite annoying because it doesn't let the dynamics of the house flow as naturally, and that's already a problem since there are returning players and that always tends to set the tone of how the season plays out.

I'm looking forward to tonight's episode.

Thoughts on cast:

Bridgette: She barely got any airtime, but she seemed sweet/adorable from what I saw. I secretly hope she turns out to be evil.

Bronte: I feel like Bronte is a good enough character without the forced DR's. I still like her but I'm not sure I'll like what the show makes of her. Especially in the edited shows.

Corey: He actually turned out to be okay? I never genuinely thought he'd be problematic or offensive, but maybe a little douchey? He wasn't really like that at all though, so he's fine for now. A bit boring however. Scary eyes.

Da'Vonne: I'm glad she made it past the first evicition. Her edit was totally loaded in contrast to everyone elses, so it's expected that people were either loving her or hating her. I was rooting for her throughout the episode. I do understand why people would say she's overrated but she definitely has potential as a good houseguest. I'd much rather Da'Vonne be the star of the season over the other three returnees. I love how hardcore she is when it comes ot the game but it probably won't bode well for her. She's making herself an easy target, although I personally think she will make it far.

Frank: He was okay too. I appreciate that he didn't get an obnoxious edit. He actually seems pretty likable as a person but I can;t see myself liking him in the game. I don't know if I find him attractive or not?

Glenn: My pick for the first boot. I felt sorry for him when the others wouldn't listen to him in the penultimate challenge but it was quite funny at the same time. His DR: "I told you so!" was quite funny. It would be a shame if he went home, but I think the writing is on wall for him too leave. It sucks that someone has to be Jodi'd.

James: James seemed kinda half-cut throught the episode. I liked him last season but I can't be arsed with him in another season so soon. I don't really care for him tbh.

Jozea: He was quite annoying but I kind of liked how much of a firecracker he was. He'll go one of two ways though. he'll end up being fabulous or completely dreadful. His DR telling Julie to hit the road was hilarious tbh.

Michelle: I don't really know what to make of Michelle? She had fun moments and annoying moments so it's hard to tell. I think she may become even more villanous (idk if the edit she had was good or bad) so let's see what happens.

Natalie: Seemed really sweet. I'm glad she has two-week immunity. I think she's the one to watch.

Nicole: I don't necessarily want Nicole to leave but she is quite annoying tbh? If she somehow enabled an alliance I like then that's fine but I don't see her being that much of a loss at any point of the season. I might change my mind though since she can go back and forth in terms of her likability.

Paul: So ****ing obnoxious. I don't think I'll ever come round to appreciating Paul, even as a villain-type character. Just really unlikable and irritating.

Paulie: I can't say I'm much of a Paulie fan but he didn't seem too bad. I felt so bad for him when Da'Vonne was like 'PAUL-E', 'PAUL-E' and he was just like "I am Paulie " lmfao.

Tiffany: I like her so far, and she's actually my pick to win HOH tomorrow. Unless Corey and Nicole decide otherwise because the decision is their's tbh. I quite like how hints of Vaneesa were coming out throughout the episode. "Are you related to Nicole?"

Victor: I didn't like him until that 'frog' (or whatever its name YouTube channel's name is) interviewed him. I'm glad he came across as pleasant as he did in that interview. He needs to not go on about how hot Natalie is though. We already have James in the house whose soul intention is to find a girlfriend. We don't need another, not when Victor actually seem okay.

Zakiyah: idk tbh :/ Can't say I have an opinion on her.

Hope Tiffany stays, I'm hopeful she's more likeable than Vanessa (who wasn't a great gameplayer, I'm really sick of hearing that from everyone at this show).

Tiffany sounds and has all the mannerisms of Vanessa in the DR, but not that much outside of the DR. I think she could have just had a standoff with Michelle in saying that she was like a relative too. As it is she's put herself at risk, hopefully Tiffany stays and Michelle goes soon so that Tiff can play her own game.

It's strange if they really do pick the HoH from the losing team, I suppose that's one way not to put a target on the first HoH winner.

Da'Vonne entertaining as usual. Frank and James anonymous as usual.

Even the host saying there will be showmances before they go in, sounds like they scripted it into the show.

As usual on the US show if there's a surprise you can be sure it will be spelled out to the HGs carefully beforehand to make sure they are absolutely not surprised. And so the extra 4 HMs twist was revealed by the host, not only that they all emerged from the same spot.

I don't really like the immunity from two evictions, that seems a bit much.

I thought the whole episode was leading up to DaVonne getting evicted but then her team pulled out that win there at the end editors tricked me there I guess. Tiffany so far has been a disappointment I am not liking how she is playing the start of this game. I still hope she doesn't go tonight but anything can happen I guess. The challenge seems like it might be endurance so odds are that Glenn is probably screwed but I guess we will find out tonight.

But I gotta say that DaVonne is really really bad at Big Brother and is lucky that he isn't the first one gone. I was hoping she learned a thing or two from the two weeks that she was in the house and from some of the people on her season but nope that clearly isn't the case. What a waste of a returning player spot almost anyone would have been a better choice to return then she was.

Very true, Laura (BB11), Annie (BB12), Cassi (BB13), Kara (BB14)... heck even Joey for BB16 would have all be more grateful
