When I was doom-scrolling through Twitter / X, I
came across these posts from a lawyer who represented people charged with rioting after London 2011.

A lot of them regretted getting involved when they heard the sentences they were getting.

And the criminal record follows them around for years to come, and affects their life. (I think I read the record lasts 10 years for 6 months sentences, and 4 years sentences the record lasts for life.)

I'm guessing a lot of the rioters already have criminal records though.

Indeed it is very dangerous to get involved in things like this if you care at all about leading a decent life with a family and a good job etc

Also a good reminder that things like this have happened plenty of times in the past and this is nothing new

Boris did just that at the start of the pandemic. He missed 5 COBRA meetings whilst he was on holiday to plan how to deal with it.

In Hull, the actual planned protest went off peacefully.

But the local youth have caused chaos after the main protesters left.

Scallywags that will get their commupennce.

That's the Gold the Government are looking for. Because now they can put the genuine concerns of the people that are peacefully protestesting about actual concerning issues, on the back burner. Use their propaganda machine to talk about everything other that what the people are there for in the first place.

The pandemic was like the biggest crisis of 2020 , you can't say it wasn't crucial...when we went in lockdown ,and people were getting sick & dying .
