James could be off to Celtic so I here, they have already bought Joe Ledley and Daryl Murphy who is a beast in SPL.

Celtic strengthening, Rangers weakening.

Robin van Persie and Carlos Vela are Arsenal’s new #10 and #11

For many, it is back to where it belongs, as Arsenal have confirmed that Dutch striker Robin van Persie will wear number ten next season for the Gunners.

The 26-year will therefore follow in Dennis Bergkamp’s footsteps after French defender William Gallas opted not to extend his contract with the North London Club and will leave during the summer transfer window together with Mikael Silvestre as confirmed by manager Arsene Wenger earlier this week.

Also changing jersey number is Mexican striker Carlos Vela. One who is almost always linked with a possible move away from Arsenal during market windows, the change of jersey number could however mean that Arsene Wenger is ready to use the striker as a regular, especially now that Eduardo looked set to join FC Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.

It will of course be the same number Vela utilised during his unlucky spell in the 2010 World Cup Finals, tournament which the youngster ended prematurely after a hamstring injury.

As explained on the club’s official website, anyone who has already pre-ordered the #10 or #11 shirts from Arsenal.com with Robin van Persie’s name and number will receive their shirt with the new squad number.

Anyone who has pre-ordered or bought the new Arsenal shirts with ‘Vela 12′ from Arsenal.com can return their shirt to exchange it for one with the updated number. Proof of purchase will be required.

Manchester City strike £23m deal for Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli
Manchester City were last night confident of clinching the signing of Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli as their summer spending rocketed towards the £100million mark.

City believe they have struck a £23m deal for the volatile 19-year-old, who is set to be reunited with his former Inter coach Roberto Mancini at Eastlands.

The club are banking on the City boss being able to tame Balotelli, the bad boy of Italian football who has attracted as many headlines for his behaviour off the pitch as on it since Mancini left the San Siro two years ago. - I would love to see him fail!! City too many strikers now..

Arsenal Set for Surprise £13.5m French International Signing?
Arsenal plan Loic Remy transfer hijack as West Ham and Liverpool talks stall
Nice striker Loic Remy could be making a surprise switch to Arsenal this summer after reports that Arsene Wenger has been tapping up his French connections to scupper the attempts of West Ham United and Liverpool.

The in-demand forward has already been the subject of a £12.5million bid from the Hammers, which was turned down last week, while Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has also had scouts watching the player.

Arsenal to send Francis Coquelin out on loan to Lorient
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...al/8842935.stm

According to Talksport Radio, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has arrived in Manchester. A baggage handler had apparently sent a text message to the radio show reporting the Dutch striker’s arrival. Whether his final destination is Old Trafford or Wastelands is yet unknown and the rumour has yet to be validated.

With Rooney, Berbatov, Owen, Hernandez, Diouf, Macheda and Welbeck already on United’s books, I’m not sure we need another striker. Although one could argue that Welbeck will most probably head out on a season-long loan with Macheda and Diouf probably heading out on loan at some point during the season as well.

Ooh Huntellar has probably gone to Man City.

Arsenal may keep Fabregas for now but they have to be realistic that he'll be gone sooner rather than later.

PMSL. Koren would be a great signing if that happens.

Seems like Risdale has his knickers in a twist over the Ledley sale, shame that the money can't be used to bring in other players for the club...

Arsenal knew that a couple of seasons ago, but barca need to pay the right price..

2 years time he will be the best player in the world (possibly)

Arsenal will be almost out of debt and in a great position, where barca will be crippled with debt i reckon.

Man City won't get Donovan, no way will the MLS let him go because he is basically the face of their league and he makes some right cash so he wouldn't need any from them.

Ain't Villa apparently after Scott Parker too?, thats what my local papers say but WH are refusing to sell.

AC Milan striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar is reportedly close to joining Liverpool according to speculation in Italy.

The prolific Holland international was yesterday seen at Manchester airport amid rumours the former Real Madrid striker was holding talks with Manchester City, Manchester United and indeed Roy Hodgson. Last January the striker was strongly linked with a move to North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, with Arsene Wenger openly expressing his admiration for the archetypal number nine; however the media in Italy differ from their English counterparts and intimate the main intent is currently coming from Merseyside.

Today, Italian daily Il Corriere dello Sport suggest Liverpool have in fact jumped ahead of their Premier League rivals Everton rather than United or City in the race for the 26-year-old.

The newspaper claims AC Milan are pressing for Ryan Babel to be included in the deal, but it also suggests the former PSV and Ajax star has been earmarked as a potential successor to Fernando Torres, who is yet to commit his future to the club.

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri recently suggested the player could leave the club this summer and quotes attributed to the new San Siro chief in Corriere dello Sport gave very little away.

He said: “Huntelaar, for now, is a Milan player,”

Eduardo has revealed his sadness at leaving Arsenal and thanked the club for helping him overcome a career threatening injury.

Croatia striker spent three years with the Gunners before agreeing a £6m move to Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this week and he admits he is leaving the Emirates Stadium with a heavy heart.
A large chunk of his career with Arsenal was spent recovering from a horrendous broken leg and dislocated ankle suffered at Birmingham in February 2008.
Eduardo told the Gunners' official website: "The past few days have been very emotional for me.
"Although I am excited about the challenge ahead with my new club Shakhtar Donetsk, I am so sad to be leaving my home for the past three years - Arsenal Football Club.
"Arsenal is a very special football club and I will miss so many people - my team-mates, all the staff and, of course, the wonderful Arsenal supporters.
"When I first came to England, I could not speak the language and knew nobody, but as soon as I arrived I was made to feel at home and part of this big family.
"I had some very difficult times with my injury, but Arsenal was always there for me - the medical staff, the management, the players and the supporters. Thank you everybody.
"Although I have now left the club, Arsenal will always be in my heart. I will always look for the Arsenal results and of course, I wish Arsene Wenger and the great players at the club well for next season and the future."
The tackle by Blues defender Martin Taylor saw the Croatian miss almost a year of football and many experts believe the psychological scars had a negative impact on the striker's game following his return to action.
