The fire could've been a bit more dramatic in my opinion, we didn't even see the typical orange flames. How did Billy know to burn R&R though? We never saw Ronnie mention to him, I assumed when she write 'You know what to do' on the note she meant fixing the electrics.

No, The electric guy told Ronnie 'You could do it yourself but you would blow this place up and sue me' Or somthing like that.

It obviously gave her an idea, she knew it would go on fire and now she will get money from it to pay for Jack.
She seemed pretty confident that she would get the money.

Billy didnt know it would go on fire, he just thought it was doing a job.

Ronnie in a way set him up.

I know they could of made it more dramatic, I just hope on Monday it continues right from tonights episode.
Will be so pissed off if they just skip to AFTER the fire.

Two of EastEnders' youngest stars will be written out of the soap later this year, it has been confirmed.

Charlie Jones and Madeline Duggan - who have played Ben Mitchell and Lauren Branning for the last 4 years - will bow out of the Albert Square serial in the coming months as part of the soap's ongoing revamp under new executive producer Bryan Kirkwood.

According to the Daily Star Sunday, 13-year-old Jones had to be "consoled" by his chaperone after hearing the news that his 4 years with the soap would be coming to an end.

He has yet to film his final scenes, but his exit will allegedly have nothing to do with Barbara Windsor's departure as Peggy Mitchell in the autumn. It has been suggested that his final story will revolve around the climax of his hate campaign against Louise - or tie in with Lucy Benjamin's whistlestop return as Louise's mother Lisa Fowler.

Meanwhile, Duggan (below, right) - who has been notably absent from the show since her screen mother Jo Joyner left on maternity leave - has already filmed her final scenes as Lauren.

On Thursday, she was spotted filming on location with Joyner, who reprised her role as mother-of-two Tanya for a single episode. She is due to return to work full-time in the coming months, having given birth to twins.

An EastEnders source told the newspaper: "Charlie and Maddy are two very popular youngsters. So there were a lot of sad faces when everyone heard they were both leaving. They've both had their fair share of dramatic storylines and will be greatly missed.
"Ben's exit will be one of the biggest storylines of the summer. It's going to very dramatic and will have repercussions for months to come. Fans are in for a real treat with this one. Maddy has already filmed her exit. She was pretty emotional as she's very close to Jo, who plays her mum on the show."

They added: "But she's had a great time working on 'Enders and has everything going for her."

An show spokesperson confirmed: "Charlie and Madeline will be leaving EastEnders later this year. They have been a pleasure to work with and we wish them all the best for the future."

Before the end of the year, EastEnders is due to lose ten familiar faces, including Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater), Tiana Benjamin (Chelsea Fox), Gillian Wright (Jean Slater), Cliff Parisi (Minty Peterson) and Derek Martin (Charlie Slater).

Since taking the helm, however, Kirkwood has orchestrated the returns of favourites Kat and Alife Moon as well as signing former Footballers' Wives star Zoe Lucker.

Good - Like you said fresh storylines and new characters.

Bad - Brian turns the show into a new Hollyoaks, with a younger cast and completely turns it around in a negative way and fucks it up and puts it in the state Hollyoaks is in right now.

I'm bored of that comparison, both different shows and Hollyoaks is aimed at the younger age group hence Bryan's focus on them. EE fans need to stop judging Bryan on his HO past and give him a chance, he did work at Corrie too.

The way the show is at the moment, it's clear Bryan wants the E20 crew to take center stage. They have been in nearly every episode for the past few weeks. The show is going to get a Skins feel to it, that's what I think anyway.

Maybe Bryan does like them but they are Santer's creations, perhaps he'll change the current opinion on them and give them more personality and make them likeable to the viewers who aren't taking to them?.

I think Ronnie and Roxy are amazing and i really hope they're not axed; i don't think they will in all honesty though, when Bryan was commenting on Babs departure he said that the Mitchells "will go on without her", so i presume they're keeping most of the Mitchell clan.

I can't see Sam Janus leaving at the moment because her and her husband had financial times and EE came at a time where she was desperate.. although can see her going at some point and was rumours that she can be a bit of a diva backstage too.

Yeah, i hope you're right. I love both of them equally, they were part of the "big changes" to Eastenders back in 2007 and i'm glad they introduced them cause they've both become two of the most memorable EE characters ever

But arent we still getting Diedrick Santer's Episodes?

So the E20 Crew taking center stage is Santer's work not Kirkwoods.
Either way I love whoever had the idea to give them more air time.

ooh never knew that - interesting. Maybe Santer wanted to introduce them properly so when Bryan's episode air their all more prominent characters. Either way I can still see them being at the forefront of EE this year.

Rita Simons I would say is more safe than Sam because she owns so much property on the Square. Can't see her just leaving when she's got loads for her in the Square.
