Meet Vanessa's daughter Jodie:

EastEnders bosses have cast a daughter for feisty Albert Square newcomer Vanessa Gold.

Actress Kylie Babbington joins the Walford soap as Jodie Gold around the same time as her mother, played by Zoe Lucker.

Jodie first appears in the fictional London district in search of her mum and her arrival doesn't go unnoticed by Darren Miller (Charlie G. Hawkins), who takes an immediate shine to her.

With a big heart, an infectious smile and a personality to match, Darren falls head-over-heels in love and quickly begins wooing her with the Miller charm.

Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood exclusively told Digital Spy: "I'm really excited about Kylie taking on the role of Jodie. She brings yet more fresh energy to the show - she's a ray of sunshine."

The love of Darren's life Libby Fox (Belinda Owusu) rapidly ended their long-term romance upon learning of his one-night stand with Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison) - and their son George Michael.

Mother and daughter duo Jodie and Vanessa make their first appearance in Walford next month.

Utter laziness from EE Tonight, I expected a continued episode from Friday with an epic fire, and flames and stuff and the fire trucks and everyone being scared and stuff like that, not the shit we got tonight.

I mean honestly, that had to be the most failed and dissapointing fires of all time.

You have to take into account a weekend has passed for them too. There was no need for (another) bells and whistles fire

The club certainly didn't look torched to me. The cliffhanger was awful as well considering we already knew that Zainab had told Tamwar to cut Syed and Amira and it was even shown once. Poor Jane as well, I felt mad towards Ian when he told her book club was cancelled, you can tell she doesn't get out much and the book club is the only place where she can socialise with friends and then Ian went and did that. He's starting to annoy me again.

Yeah but the other week, on Friday it ended with a Masood finding out Zainab knew about Chryed.

And then on Monday, 2 days after that.. they picked up straight from that scene so I thought they could of just done the same this week.

Btw guys, any word on when The British Soap Awards are on?
Im still trying to find out.

I think about a week and a half. No time soon I don't think but I was only half listening to the TV at the time

Yes, I think Brian Kirkwood just went a step too far IMO.

ZsaZsa is easily one of the best looking girls we have had in a long time on that show, and she is quite a funny character and im going to miss her friendship with Leon and Fatboy.

Leon can ****.

But I just think its an outrage ZsaZsa is leaving.

Just as everyone was begining to like her, and saying things like 'She will be the next Stacey'

Well its all came down to this..

First out was Mercy.
Second out was Leon.
Third out was ZsaZsa.

And now, your winner.. FatBoy!

I am quite pleased and happy and at the same time shocked, Fatboy has survived this long.. I thought he would of been axed ages ago.

Well done Fats.

I hope he stays on, but now its just a matter of time before Kirkwood decides to piss me off even more and axes Fatboy.

Theres millions of little girls who vote for Eoghan, JLS, Lloyd or Joe in X Factor just because they fancy them.

Whats wrong with me liking a character because shes fit?

Also, shes one of the most entertaining atm, Im more intrested in here and the E20 Crew than Billy and his money, Heather stumbling on her sentences or Ronnie and Jack being as boring as ever.
