How many times you gonna say no one cares (or should care) about gameplay?

Gameplay is the show. Also, almost everything on the show falls as gameplay for that matter. It's supposed to be cared about and is really the most entertaining part/aspect of the show by far.

"If you want to watch good gameplay then watch chess"



If you want to watch people just talk and do stuff then watch anyone, any place. Or just watch one of the other Big Brothers that fall more under that style of show.

It's a BB game that the show is based on. It's one thing to not like that and still watch it anyway and then it's a whole other thing to constantly complain about people caring about the gameplay.

The HGs matter first and foremost, though. If you don't care about any of the HGs, you're certainly not going to care about how they play the game. It's the HGs that make watching the show a different experience than just reading the Wikipedia summary about what happened and who made what moves.

The purpose of this show is to entertain, and it just so happens that a lot of the qualities of a good game are not entertaining and actually stifle entertainment. Good gameplayers, as we've seen year after year, prevent drama from happening, target loose cannons they can't control, and bring ridiculously impressionable and gullible goats with them to the end. There's no suspense, no shake ups, nothing. Derrick played circles around everyone else in BB16 and his win was obvious from the start, but it also made the season a complete waste of time to watch for nearly 100 days.

I've always said that gameplay can be an agent of entertainment, but it's not inherently entertaining on its own. Nakomis's six finger plan was entertaining because of the story behind it and the people involved. Most other backdoor plans are just along the lines of "X is a threat to my game so I need to backdoor him, I hope it works " and that's not entertaining whatsoever.

My post wasn't even a complaint about people caring about gameplay, it was mainly in response to Calderyon not caring for Daniele in BB13 because she didn't play the game well (as if that's some personality trait), when Daniele in 13 was snarky and funny and self-aware and Daniele in 8 was a ****ing brat.

She went too soon after Jeff, she should have waited longer. She had 4 free weeks to polish her game and strategy, but no, she panicked and wanted Jeff out ASAP.

When she did that, she made enemies with all of the veterans and had to side with the newbies.
She should also have seen on which side of the fence Grodner was: Newbies or Veterans.

Answer: Grodner was on Veterans side.

nah, it's complete garbage. The newbie cast is completely uninspiring and the coaches and the coaches are pretty dreadful in their own right.

lmfao he gets DESTROYED in 14 and the only good part is the look on Dan's face during the jury questioning when he realizes that he's going to get destroyed in a vote against Ian of all people. Losing in an embarrassing 6-1 fashion just about cancels out winning 7-0, it was like Russell Hantz in Big Brother.

He's a sleaze con artist who isn't willing to let his 15 minutes of fame go. Like, just looking at his website where he's trying to market himself as a life coach and an author and motivational speaker he's just a loser who was on a mediocre (now ****ty) reality show with a cult following.
