Who is telling anyone to piss off anywhere? I didn't say "make a new thread for the politics", I said this one being swamped by politics is boring and that perhaps there should be a non-political alternative, shared my opinion that it's mainly frustrated people creating a punching bag because they can't argue with a virus.

But apparently, despite the claim that all opinions are equally valid, those opinions are less equal? That people who are bored of the politics should put up and shut up, or put people on ignore, because... ? So very equal . Carry on chaps.

I didn't say you had done or said anything, or say your opinions weren't valid.

In answer to your first question...

People can and should be able to post their opinions as long as it's relevant to the topic, whether that involves no comment on the government, positive comment or negative without being told to bugger off to another thread or shut up altogether.

Not sure the problem with telling those who aren't interested in discussing the government to simply not join in with that and add their own "non political" posts. As long as it's Coronavirus related, it's fine to be in this thread.

What does me reminding you that you can easily put those of us you're bored of having to read, on ignore, have anything to do with things being equal/unequal?

you guys in the UK might want to reconsider the planned reopening of restaurants, bars

https://hosted.ap.org/thetimes-tribu...any-restaurant

7 may have been infected at a restaurant in Germany, shortly after the place had reopened, 65 more have been quarantined out of precaution (who they know also went to the restaurant after reopening)

It's a small forum and not wanting to hear people waaaahing on this thread doesn't mean I don't enjoy their posts on other threads. Saying "you can just put everyone on ignore" is a pretty quick and flippant way to dismiss someone, is it not? "U no where da ignore button is lololol". We're all better than that .

Your point about criticising the government would be fair IF the criticism was fair / unbiased ... but when the SAME people complain about and criticise EVERY gawd damn thing the government say or do it kinda makes their points / views totally irrelevant as they’re simply blinkered , bias views ..

I detest politics/politicians but whilst I can see that the government have made some very poor decisions I can also see that they’ve achieved some remarkable things over the last few months ..
Many in here just criticise the government all the time ... and it’s just BORING !!

Then you have the choice to read the post...or don't. I for one couldn't be less interested if my posts in this or any thread don't meet your exacting standards.
Ok? Just putting it out there, I don't care.
You chose to come into the thread and waaah about its content ' waaaah u talking bout politiks annoy me'! (annoying that patronising faux statement thing isn't it? ) So be better than that and don't attempt to police the thread.

This is my stance .. he’s apparently a remarkably intelligent guy ( genius even ) so that’s the kind of person I’d want making important decisions ..

My main issue with politics is the way the government ( at the time ) make and change their policies based on the opinions of the voting masses when generally speaking I’d say we /they aren’t qualified to suggest changes to important matters .. a quick look at all those crammed onto our beaches tells you that .

Yes... but there's a subtle difference, I personally critique the governments response ... however, when the govt announce measures to aid in the fight against the virus I follow them.
Which gives me the right to A. Criticise anyone who doesn't and B. expect the government to treat all those who don't equally.

Which guides my view of Dominic Cummings on this, nothing to do with who the govt are, but how they are reacting on this extremely relevant and current issue.
