Because if they gave Ronaldo the chances Messi & Co had they would of gone out in the Semis. Not even Ronaldo tbf. If Mario Gomez was half useful when it matters Bayern would of been up 6-0 after an hour or so. So much is made of their brave defendign etc when in reality it was fairly poor. Poor finishing and fortune helped them. Come on. It's as big a fluke as Greece winning the Euros. Yeah we were fortunate in the 99 Final, but it didn't stretch any further than that. We won the league and had some great performances in Europe along the way. You can safely say they got outplayed from the Quarters onwards, without much argument. With Cup competitions you don't need to be the best to win though. In fact you can be 5th best in your country and win.

I'm attempting to take you Serious comparing the 5th best team in England Getting outplayed in the Semis & Final, but winning it on Pens, to The best team in England Playing well up until the Final and scoring two late goals to comeback.

They played with 10 Men against the best team in the world for most the game in the Semis.. and they didn't just hold on to a draw they beat them. has that sunk in yet jobber? and you had to come back in the Semis in 99 against Juventus after being 3-1 down on Agg so it wasn't just the final as well and Juventus should have seen of that game a long long time before you mounted that come back but your Chelsea hate has probably made you forget about that
