Gosh, this event hadn't a cross word last year from start to finish, not a single argument no matter what was done or said.

It is a great event, I didn't put myself forward due to other commitments but even last night I had to stay on until 2.30ish in the morning to see at least the person I chose to support at this stage go through to the next round and the main election.

Electioneering demands asking for votes,from candidates and their supporters,that went on last year and largely got few moans at that.
Politics however, is a sour and nasty process at times so this event has had a little taste of that it seems already.I hope myself that is the end of it and it is just teething troubles as to this event this year.

Everyone made good opening speeches, this got off to a good start so I really hope everyone now gets behind,once we have the 5 candidates through, the candidate they choose to vote for to win after they see what policies are presented in the following election.
It may be some even decide to vote for another candidate from the one they supported here because of the policies,this time we were asked merely to put through people as candidates, next time we will be voting in an election for the person to win.

I hope this stays a fun event, I loved this event last year and as I said it had not a single cross word or warning issued whatsoever.
All was taken in good humour and accepted.

Please everyone, keep it a really fun event. Ben has set up a good thing here again, Kate did it brilliantly last year so I hope all Ben has to do is be there for advice and to support his choice for candidate and election winner,not having to deal with squabbbles and any other unpleasant happenings.

I took this massively serious last year, I felt I really was fighting an election and many people totally disagreed with what I was saying at times but it always stayed good humoured and a great fun event.

Curses, I said if Kate got through,I would try to keep my posts shorter in the future,oh well, I did say I would only try to I guess.

Please everyone, it is fun, people are on opposing sides though,I have no issue with anyone asking me for a vote,it is what elections are about anyway.
Help keep this an annual event please and support Ben's efforts as to setting it up this year.

I better push off now. Good luck to the other candidates as to who else goes through.
If I could vote for another it would be Jack.
All will be great and different candidates though.
