Dominic Rickhards is has joined @Hollyoaks as Ed Morrison.

I've seen this on Twitter. Maddie's dad then and there are some other new characters joining the show, although with the cast big enough already.

Hes okay, but I found his acting recently to be kinda shouty if you get what Im saying, instead if acting the lines, the actor is just shouting them.

Ill catch up on this week as I do like Phobe and Ash so seems they are shown alot this week so should be a good one

Is the blind/deaf character still joining, I bet 100% they are related to maddie. Theres more to maddie then meats the eye

Hollyoaks band Daytona Lights are to make another appearance on the soap.

The real-life group, who were written into the Channel 4 show for a three-month stint last year, recently filmed scenes at the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire alongside members of the Hollyoaks cast.

Reports suggest that the five-piece performed a set in front of the aquarium's giant underwater window for an episode which will air later this year.

Savage family actors Danny Mac (Dodger), Abi Phillips (Liberty) and Joe Tracini (Dennis) were among the regulars involved in the filming.

Blue Planet spokesperson Rebecca Wade told the Ellesmere Port Pioneer: "Obviously we're not allowed to give away any of the plotlines, but they did film a number of scenes at a variety of different locations throughout the aquarium and everyone seemed very pleased with the end results.

"It was great to be able to play host to such a well-loved soap opera which is filmed so locally to us.

"Hollyoaks have filmed here in the past, but this is the first time they have done such a major storyline with us and it's also a great showcase for the aquarium and its displays."

Hollyoaks fans saw Daytona Lights leave the village at the beginning of January, as they moved to London for their big break.


They're awful, although I like the Aquarium theme and idea!

Hollyoaks star Rob Norbury has revealed that he thinks Mitzeee Minniver is the best romantic match for his character Riley Costello.

The pair's spark has recently been revisited as they shared a kiss last week, but Riley is also busy dealing with the dramas surrounding his troubled ex-fiancée Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe).

Additionally, Riley will soon start flirting with Lynsey Nolan (Karen Hassan), adding another love interest to his list.

Norbury told Soaplife: "Mitzeee's helping Riley with Bobby and they're very close. She's probably the ideal woman for Riley. She has that side to her that Mercedes has, but she knows where to draw the line. And she's very caring.

"[But] there's a lot of history there and I don't think Riley is ready to tell her how he feels. Also, with Mitzeee there comes drama with Mercedes and he wants to get away from all that."

He continued: "In a way, Mitzeee is the perfect ready-made relationship. They've got history, they get on well and she knows Bobby. But Lynsey is a lovely girl and she's someone he can have a laugh with."

Some spoilers from Hollyoaks Overdose on Bebo, not sure if they are true?

Spoiler:

Riley is going to get involved slightly in Ste and Doug's business venture by offering them money, but Brendan manipulates him into changing his mind. Maybe he's threatened somehow?

Barney and Scott are going to take a trip to London, where we will learn more about Scott's family and something sinister from his past...

Tilly is apparently going to be hosting an art event at 6th form. Not that interesting, but perhaps it could be the start of some big story for her? At least it would put her to some use.

I like Phoebe, although i'm glad Jacqui is getting back at her. Mitzeee makes me laugh and I enjoy her scenes with Lacey.

Aww poor Martha is distraught and Callum is trying to be strong, George is a good support.

Martha's dependence on alcohol is becoming even more worrying now for her kids...
