i think people have the right to not believe in gay marriage and that does not make them homophobic/hate gay people

I think I have to right to point out an individual who's lapping up the publicity about a tragic accident in scotland, before the tragic fate of his father is even known, is like a Jeremy Kyle guest.

I edited my post to fit the general consensus since I think Josy wasn't specifying Tom Daley's case but the point stands.... it is news channels and online media that make massive deals out of it.

Eh I'd say it's more that the papers and news are only really fulfilling a public demand for all this celebrity gossip, they're more a symptom than a cause, like the story was the most read one on the BBC news site all day and the DM article for it had nearly 2,000 people commenting

I don't even think it's a new thing particularly either, the public have always been interested in the personal lives of those who are in the public eye a lot

You only have to have a look at what the "News of the World" was printing back in the 1940's and 1950's!

Edit: Libel Laws may have prevented them from naming names, but everyone knew who was being written about!

And I honestly believe that the interest stems from the media reporting on celebrities personal lives, but it has definitely worsened in the last few years

There's a real issue IMO about asking certain people about their relationships, I mean seriously what relevance does Tom Daley's relationship status have when he's stood next to a diving board at the Olympics? Why are journalists asking these questions? Something needs to change because they shouldn't even be allowed to question that sort of thing unless the person brings it up themselves

i hate seeing all this cisgender/bigender/pansgender/queerstraight **** all over the internet...

i think if you are what you're born with. A dick or a vagina makes you who you are and if you don't like it, then change it...

seriously, i saw something on tumblr saying 'people with vaginas...' and then someone said you mean girls? and then the person was like 'no i mean people with vaginas cause not everyone with a vagina is a girl...' LIKE REALLY?

Jesus christ

its just PC gone mad

Why do we have to come out? Surely if it's okay we don't have to do it? It doesn't make sense to me why you have to tell your parents/friends/family that you're gay or bi, surely you can just get on with it and be with who you want to be with; no need to announce it.

You should just be able to come home one day with someone, maybe someone of the same gender and just say, "this is my boyfriend/girlfriend" and then get on with your life.

Because heterosexuality is (wrongly) seem as 'normal', being gay is 'different' whether people treat them equally or not

It'll change though, generation after generation these things always do as people become more tolerant and open to new ideas. So I'm sure one day but perhaps not in our life times people will ask questions like 'so do you have a partner then?' rather than 'do you have a girlfriend?' if you're a guy and vice versa if you're a girl

idk if it's controversial, but it pisses me off no end, when people have no money, because they've spent it all on stupid ****

a friend of mine got paid £1200 on friday and by saturday she has £90 to last her until NEXT month, because she was so far in her overdraft, spending it on **** she doesn't need, and going out every weekend because she needs to get drunk, it pisses me off i tell ya

me too!

I left my job in the middle of march and i've still got about £600 saved up and I don't plan on spending any of it on anything apart from necessities until I start working again, honestly don't understand how people can have such a poor grasp on their money
