Very poor and misleading argument. He was a kid when he was there and left after two seasons where they didn't fall into relegation battle and was still only 21 at the time. Matured into a great centre-back and won player of the year with Man City for 4 years in a row, and part of that time was spent playing alongside Distin, a player now on the Everton books.

That's not an argument. David Moyes wanted him as his replacement for Lescott and sure if Yobo and Jagielka are so good why was Distin or Dunne so necessary? They'd both walk onto that team.

Because they need back up i think..
Lescott and Jagielka played amazing together but they didnt have many to cover for them. Once Jagileka is fully fit again he distin will probably be benched more. |

I think Distin will be playing when Jagielka comes back. Yobo and Jagielka will fight for other spot as long as the frenchman stays healthy.

That still doesn't counter myargument on the merits of Dunne. Three times he beat Distin to player of the year for Man City. The had a great partnership and Moyes was keen on signing Dunne first. When he couldn't get him he opted for Distin. I think that there's enough evidence there to suggest that Dunne is up there with the best in the country.
