Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Live Show 8 of the Z Factor! We are just two shows away from the final; and the competition is really hotting up. There are five acts left fighting for survival; and tonight's voting system is all change from the previous one that has been in place since show 1!

Theatrical woop from the audience

That's right; tonight marks a new voting system! The act polling the lowest number of votes will be automatically eliminated from the competition, but on top of that, there is another change!

Theatrical gasp from the audience

As the contestants will be performing two songs tonight, you will rank both the Beatles performances and the Westlife performances - so each performance counts. As always, acts are permitted to vote for themselves and to put themselves first in the voting; but they must rely on votes from the public to keep them afloat, especially after last night's shock elimination of Matt Cardle!
