I think in fairness it was clear that John did the best dance this week.

It doesn't mean people have to change favourites, but he just clearly was ahead of the class this week.

I agree with you Nicky, because personally who are these people saying was better this week? AJ was the second best imo, but there were more errors in her dance than John's, and the other contestants were miles behind this week.

I'd get the complaints more if John was performing at a similar level to the others, but to me personally it's coming across as certain fans are seeing John as a threat to their favourite and are refusing to give him any credit because for some reason there's only two contestants that can be top of the leaderboard it seems, even though one of them ironically scores reasonably high every week even if she's performed badly, so that's ironic.

To make it more balanced though, John obviously has had plenty of weeks where he hasn't been the best imo, and AJ has shown herself to be the most versatile out of the top six.

Rose & Giovanni: very strong efforts, great performance for me personally, dramatic enough for my liking, agree with Gio either that this must've been very difficult for her considering most of the time she comes across as smiley, happy person, this was undermarked 9

Dan & Nadiya: totally agree with Shirley here, latin dances you need to move grounded, surprised Craig didn't know this, also his hip action what i saw looked okay, don't know what Craig was talking about, hip action can only be done one way, agree with Cynthia too he finished those lines beautifully, this was decent for a beginner with one of the hardest dances 9

AJ & Kai: did i enjoy this, yes and no positives first so what i liked were all the various technical details, she executed each movement with a feeling perfectly, what i didn't like, a little bit too jazzy for my liking, but that is just me, and this was a stunningly performed routine for someone who has never danced before 10

Rhys & Nancy: overmarked for my liking, this wasn't bad, but not great either just down in the middle, great choreo though by Nancy 8

Tilly & Nikita: same as with Dan, having had a very difficult dance, this was great for a novice, i loved the bend knee movements they looked gorgeous, decent hip action, a smile throughout from her which is also what i always want to see someone enjoying every second of every routine where you are allowed to smile in, some bits she really looked like a diva, sambalicious my darling sambalicious 10

John & Johannes: FINALLY John you have arrived <3 this tango argentino was on same levels of fabness as Nicolas & Vadim their tango, sorry craig stealing your line ''A-MA-ZING'' 10

I get that argument, and personally I don't just champion dancers on based on technical ability alone either.

I just personally find it weird though how most of the fandom seem to be fine with people supporting Rose who isn't technically the best dancer of her year, but apparently it's wrong for people to support Dan, like why is it wrong to support Dan but not anyone else in the competition that's not AJ & John?

I'm not attacking you btw Vanessa as you're not the worst for doing this kinda argument, but I've seen a lot of people go around attacking Dan this series for being voted through because it's "meant to be a dancing competition" but then some (not all) of these same people have been supporting people like Adam, Sara or Tom, plus countless other contestants that weren't or aren't technically the greatest dancers in the competition because these people would be supporting either AJ or John going by that argument.

For me Rose is a great dancer. But Dan dancing leaves me cold.
But everyone can support who they like.

I'm appalled that Rhys stayed over Tilly and Nikita.

Whatever it is, the public don't care for Rhys.

This is to me why the dance off is ridiculous.
Rhys was far higher on the leaderboard than Tilly.
Tilly was bottom.

The judges already had voted that Rhys was far superior in their view to Tilly in the show.

What on earth is the point of those pairings then having to do that same wretched dance that put them into the bottom 2.
To then have the judges vote twice on the SAME dance they already have done a short time before.

Rhys was much higher on the board than Tilly so it was clear, no matter how many times he's been in the bottom 2 now.
That he would be saved again.

Either do a different dance in the dance off or just decide it on the public vote.
Strip the judges of this ridiculous power they have.

The judges have had Dan in the bottom 3 most weeks.
Dan however has public support to get him through.

I still think the 3 pairings who have the most support are Rose firstly.
Then perhaps with the public a toss up between AJ and John.
However I'd say they are the 3 with the biggest public support.

It's all immaterial however in my view now, this series is much more than likely to be won by Rose.

I hear a lot from my own friends, who keep saying 'who is voting for Dan'.
It doesn't matter who is, he has fairly strong support clearly from the public.
So he clearly entertains those who vote for him.
So good luck to him from me.

If it's a Rhys v Dan dance off next week.
It will be interesting to see if they save Rhys over Dan then.

Really though for me, the dance off in the hands of the judges is what ruins Strictly.
They apply their own bias mostly, in my view.
