A few in German...
ein Funkloch - an area where you get no reception or signal for electronic devices, normally out in the countryside, we don't really have a definitive term for that in English so I like that it exists in German... plus it sounds so German as well ![]() Kummerspeck - literally a word to describe the weight you put on if you comfort eat means 'grief bacon'... trust the GermansFremdschämen - to be embarrassed for someone else. |

Saudade is my favourite word in Portuguese, unfortunately it has no translation in English. It's the feeling you have when you miss something or someone when you sort of know that what/who you're missing is never coming back. It's very romantic and sad.
