I like Ben and I felt sorry for him today in the space of 1 hour John James had a go at him then Dave then Rachel.I sometimes wish he would hit back and really give them it but he's a gent.

Is there danger of Ben walking?Hope not but the whole house at you all day would kinda get you down.I want him to realize Dave is not a friend and has been instigating the bitching at him since very early on.Seems to happen when he wants approval from jj and steve.

I have also thought that there are a lot of 'picking on Ben' moments and cruely so. I think Ben, at times and very unwittingly, brings some of it on himself. Sometimes I think he is on another planet and is certainly not street wise. But I absolutely hate Dave as I blame him for this stirring up HMs against Ben. Ben really is a nice guy (Tim, nice but Dim) and rather innocent. Although I do wish that he would stop mauling and kissing some of his fellow HMs. He seems to me to be very insecure, hence he keeps refering to others as "you are my friend, you know that, but!" As much as I like him he does seem to slob over some of them.

Last night Jo and Laura were discussing him and they both said they were surprised by him.
Jo said he seems like a little boy lost.

I think 'little boy lost' is a brill summary. And it is because of this that I feel Dave, JJ and, at times, aided by Mario pick on him. Somehow to me this appears to be a form of bullying. By teasing Bens innocence, knowing that is his weakness, is a tad immature of them and could be seen as a form of bullying.

Oh yes, poor little rich boy getting picked on by all the HMs! I hate the way he does that, he's so catty, but because he's posh and has a bouffant and is in it four himself, he seemed to be a great housemate.
I would say he picked on other's more. I mean I agree with his comments about Josies clothes not being flattering, but if he said it to John James (who is initally a backstabber) he would have known it would have got back to Josie, who is sensitive about her weight. and that whole thing with Mario and "I want to be big in America and a TV personality so I can't be associated with a gay man" thing was pathetic.
Anyway he's gone and selling stories to the press.
