Why was I banned for using someone else's account with permission but Shaun doesn't seem to have been punished for logging into a mods account? It's all a bit of a joke.

If this was recently [which it obviously was], it was said by Dezzy, that after I'd got into Niall's account, that anyone else to do it would be punished.

Is it different because it's Shaun?

Most of us fair, but none of us knew about this until now. We cannot go and infract/ban somebody for something they did last year.

What is an infraction? Is it a knuckle rap leading up to a ban? If so I think I got reported by I can easily guess who

for discussing another or other members in a thread. Fair enough I probably deserved the infraction, although I don't think I particularly do intentionally nasty posts, but some do get away with a lot more at times. I do know how hard modding can be though, having been a mod and admin on a few forums, and stood down from both jobs on a few because I decided sometimes it wasn't worth the hassles.

If somebody reports you that doesn't mean you'll get an infraction. It just flags up the post in question.

Then whichever mod happens to be online (or the first one to come online) will then read the report and judge if it is worth a warning (no points) or worth an infraction (which after several will lead to a ban), or we may do nothing as we don't find anything wrong with the post.

But you'd know if got an infraction. You get a PM.

Also Stace and Jess, if we were to infract everything that went unpunished simply because time has passed on it, you'd both have a few hundred points apiece. From what I gather the Shaun business happened a few months ago and we weren't aware of it until yesterday while with your accounts business we knew of it earlier. That's the difference.

and to add to that James was dealing with it so it's not really our place to infract him now as I'm sure he already dealt with as he saw fit.
