well I already addressed that aspect. Im referring to the dramatic poor doggy exclamations.

Do you know how animals die in the wild? Makes being bagged and thrown in a wheely bin seem like a Disney film.

You said it was a Pug? Aren't they like Ł600-Ł1000+ to buy?! Seems like a real misuse of a valuable creature to me. They're such a loving, docile breed too. *Sigh*

Why let a Dog be crushed to pieces?
Dead or Alive?

I hope your friend falls into a bin the next time she's putting her rubbish out - and then is thrown into a bin lorry.

as does all rubbish regardless

tons of raw meat is disposed of in bins everyday. Along with other very nasty smelling items.

The real issue here is moral.

And that she manages to climb to the top of the rubbish right near the opening when they get to the final street and thinks she is going to get out, just to be hit in the face with another bag of rubbish then fall back to the bottom.

Then gets crushed like the poor dogs body.

but people throw away all kinds of chemical products that are potentially dangerous. Even batteries are dangerous.

Plus wild animals die all around us and just lie there to decompose...no bag, no bin. Even buried animals are not usually buried deep and can be dug up by rats and foxes etc

Not advocating throwing animals in bins but some are over focusing on the physical aspect.

And Patrick, I doubt a dead dog would care if he were crushed to pieces or burned to ashes in a cremation. Same difference.

I think this is, as someone has pointed out, an issue of morals. As a dog lover myself, I wouldn't dream of throwing my dead dog in the wheelie bin, and nor would anyone I know.

I think its disgusting, and the owner clearly wasn't fit to own the dog in the first place, if this was to her, a good idea. She clearly didn't give a toss about the dog.

Kerry is right, there could be restrictions to burying your pet dog in your garden, that would need to be checked with the Local Authority as to their policy on it.

However, a pet can be cremated and its ashes buried or scattered,as to burial, the consideration of if you were likely to move sometime would also be a factor as to if burying your dog was appropriate.

I would want our dog to be cremated and scatter his ashes where he loved to play most of the time, but to put him in a black bag, dumped in a bin is a despicable act to me.

I think you will find that the raw meat that is disposed in bins everyday in domestic bins has been skinned / treated / cured / smoked etc, to be fit and ready for human consumption first. Not quite the same thing as a freshly dead carcuss that has not been bled, drained of toxics, untreated etc.

If this story is true: Whoever the OP's friend is: they should be reported - not least in that it's a most dispicable way to be rid of a dead pet - if that's how little they viewed it, makes me wonder what caused it's death in the first instance - if it was ill - why wasn't it at the vet?
