I would agree with you here.

My own feeling is that only violent criminals should occupy prison places really.
I am very surprised they are out after barely a quarter of their sentence is done but then I also wonder in this case, why am I surprised really.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HM_Prison_East_Sutton_Park

Quote:
East Sutton is a parish approximately 6 miles south-east of Maidstone in Kent, England.

East Sutton is small in number of dwellings but relatively large in area: the parish has a women's prison, a council estate of 16 houses and the Grade I listed 13th-century St Peter's and St Paul's Church.

HMP East Sutton Park is a prison and Young Offenders Institution for females, situated in a manor house, located just outside the village.

King Edward VII used to visit the village for liaisons with his mistress, Alice Keppel at Pleasure House, on the border with Sutton Valence.

HM Prison East Sutton Park is a women's open prison and Young Offenders Institution, based in and around an Elizabethan brick house, East Sutton Park, dating from 1570 and overlooking the Weald of Kent. The Prison has a population of (only) 100 (as of January 2007)
Sounds like a "country house retreat" to me .....

Apparently this Minimum security prison barely qualifies as a prison as the inmates can walk out anytime they chose. The prison is situated in a lovely quiet rural setting and if you didnt see the word Prison you would never guess it actually was one.

Mr Huhne would have had his own room and the abilty to lock it from the "inside" to give himself some privacy from nosey prisoners and prison wardens. He would have had the pick of any courses that the prison ran or he could choose to utilise the well stocked Prison library and catch up on his reading.Perhaps some TV with all the Sky channels available.

He probably benefitted from the downtime he had to reflect on his actions and develop a plan of action upon leaving.

All in All a change is as good as a rest and rested and re-invigorated Mr Huhne can now look forward to rebuilding his life completely rehabilitated and ready to face the future.

And who said Prison doesn't work ??

Surely this vindicates the Tory-Lib-Dem Alliance, as even one of their own, convicted of a heinous crime, serves out his sentence of penal servitude and emerges from his cell, chastened by his traumatic and arduous experience ......

What is the alternative? They have served a sentence of sorts which is what would happen to anyone else in similar circs. they have money and could have just had a huge fine, however many might say they were just buying their way out of a jail term I guess?...

maybe community service would have been a better way to go,let them get down in the gutter and see what it's like.

Didn't realise he was in Leyhill prison, I've played darts there a few times at the social club, can imagine there aren't many nicer places to be an inmate. It's that way for a reason though with all the prisoners being low risk and most just at the end of their sentence or serving for minor crimes

Don't really care about them being released early either, it's not really in the public interest to keep them imprisoned

He got her to attempt to take his punishment, then he betrayed her with another woman. Hell hath no fury like a "bitch" scorned...
