Ah yeah I guess that's true, but then if it's a big character VS a dullard the outcome of the eviction should be predictable anyway (well, you'd hope...last year it wasn't always guaranteed). It'd still be hard to call if it were two/three dullards or big characters up against each other.

No it wouldn't cause only the evictee's percentage would be revealed, and they're leaving anyway so it doesn't matter...they're clearly not a favourite. And I think 3 people minimum should be up every week anyway so how the remaining percentage of the vote was split between the other two would remain unknown as well.

Yeah, but there was no mention of it being a minimum of 3 nominees. If that's the case then it's alot better. But say if a housemates friend was up and their friend was evicted with like 80% of the public vote in a 3-way vote then they would start acting differently and be paranoid about being hated.

True, but I just think that the housemates aren't acting the way they normally would if they knew about how much their friend/s were evicted by. I wouldn't mind them revealing it to the evictee in their interview or just revealing it to the public though. Actually, I'm starting to like that idea But it would never happen though.

what about after she says "You have 30 seconds to say your good byes" She then says "I will see you on the out side"

Both of you have good points - remember how Conor reacted last year when he realized The Insiders were hated

If they're going to change it change it, not just drop a line here or there or change the wording slightly. How about something as simple as:

Emma: "Good Evening Housemates"
HMs: "Good Evening Emma"
Emma: "And Good Evening Big Brother"
BB: "Get on with it girl or you'll be joining Brian on the celebrity dole queue!" (and other sarcastic responses!)

That's cringey though - plus they've some how got this idea that Marcus Bentley is now Big Brother, so if Emma talking to Big Brother means we get even more 'MURRRRCUSSS BENTLEYYY!!!!' then no thanks. Hate the bloke now.

"Big Brother house, this is Emma. David and Shirley, the public have been voting to save, and I can now reveal the 6th person to be evicted from the Big Brother house, is... SHIRLEY."

And then that's it.

Do it as it was on Channel 4 but use Emma's name instead. Simple as that.

Anyway, there's only so many ways you can say someone's evicted.

"Big Brother House... This is Emma. You are live on Channel 5, please do not swear. Narinder... and Brian. The public have been voting to save all week, and I can now reveal that neither of you received any votes to save. It's a DOUBLE EVICTION. You have 30 seconds to say your goodbyes and fade into irrelevance forever."

I think the point they were making is that it would be "Live on Channel 5" not just "Live on 5" - or of course they could just have been being annoying.

"You're live on C4, please do not swear" is the worst catchphrase ever invented. Firstly it was almost always used post watershed after an hour of effing and blinding in the highlights, and secondly there had barely been a live eviction since I think BB8 - so they weren't often live on C4 anyway.

Moving this on a bit how would people think about Emma appearing on screen in the house for the eviction announcements, just to change things up a bit. Personally I've always preferred the audio only announcement as it forces the HMs to look at each other rather than focus on the screen when the evictee is announced, but in the interests of freshening up things in a simple way I'm quite willing to throw that principle out of the window.

They were all within 10 minutes of broadcast and are classed as live. Davina explained it. During BB11/UBB they weren't in that 10 minutes which is why it wasn't used

The channel is now called 'Channel 5' not 'Five' like it previously was.

It hasn't been live since BB7 I believe, due to Pete and some of the other housemates swearing on purpose for a laugh.

And yeah you make a fair point there at that last bit - I'd miss the housemates staring at eachother waiting.

Post BB7 I don't think Davina said the live on channel 4 line that often. It was more of a catchphrase in the early years.

Obviously - but from an official point, they couldn't and wouldn't say 'Five' without saying 'Channel 5' that's just how it is.

I hope they bring back Davina's script, yeah it was hers but Emma's the closest they're going to get to having her back, but they'll probably go a different route again.

Pretty sure I have heard a presenter of some show on Channel 4 saying, "See you on 4 in 4", despite it being called "Channel 4", But don't know for absolute certainty.
