You can't say with any certainty that it was a brilliant move.

Who knows if blowing smoke up Michael's arse would have saved him.

In normal circumstances he might have felt that it was desperate gameplaying and saved Gina/Sallie instead.

I think he would have saved Dexter because of Dan. Dan probably would be accusing him anyway even if he was real. Plus Dexter put in the effort, did you see the other two attempts?

Dexter took a huge chance going what he did, which makes the success of the move all the more great.

How can you claim success when it was the public that saved Dexter, not Dexter's plea?

His brilliant move achieved nothing really.

All it did was highlight that he's desperate and not to be trusted.

Success in that he was saved, granted his plea had nothing to do with him being saved.

It is still the best moment of the series, by far.

It has also killed Sallie, as there is no way she is staying over Gina will the stuff she will pull in tonight's episode

Agree about it being a great moment and that Sallie's reaction could see her evicted.

that makes no sense at all.

he did not know that it would have no effect. He went with the most likely option based on the information the housemates had, which was that it was actually Micheal's choice, and he made a smart move to stay in the game.

The others all had their suspicions that it wasn't really Michael choosing and that he is just an actor, Dexter has decided to throw his lot in with Michael and trust that it is all completely genuine instead of siding with those who have got the situation figured out. He has made the wrong choice, and it will resign him to facing another eviction next week now.

I like Dexter and I think he can bring a lot to this show if he manages to survive next week. However, the effect of vote to evict is already taking hold. He had by far the least amount of face time of the three nominees in the first week and survived as a result. Conversely, now that he's stirred the pot and will cause drama in the coming week, he'll get more screen time and if he's nominated is likely to be taken out by the same effect. Shame that.

She's got so much potential, and has some massive bollox. Says it how it is all the time.

Gina barring a few moments, doesn't have that streak Sallie does.

Presently - as far as the other housemates are concerned - Dexter's bold and admirable move has worked; Michael relented and saved him.

Sallie is just gutted because Dexter is more popular than she with Michael, (she thinks) and that she still could be the first evicted on Friday.
