might as well make a prediction
Colombia Ghana Mexico England might just be thinking optimistically though worst would probably be Brazil/Chile/Japan

Best Case scenario for the US, They're put in a group with The Swiss, Greece, Algeria.
Worst Case scenario Brazil/Argentina, Ghana, France

ESPN will be having a special dedicated to the draw here. That wasn't possible 4 years ago.

Are they going to take forever to do this draw? They just talk a load of bollocks and half of them can't even open the bloody balls, get it over and done with I say.

Players who should definitely go to World cup (if fit)
L Baines R Barkley G Cahill A Cole S Gerrard J Hart P Jagielka P Jones A Oxlade-Chamberlain W Rooney A Townsend T Walcott D Welbeck J Wilshire Of the others I don't even know who are the next best keepers. K Walker and G Johnson are the only right backs I can name who are in with a shot. C Smalling is likely to get a place as back up centre back, there's not much else out there. In centre midfield, F Lampard will be turning 36 during that tournament, it would be disappointing that we have to call on a 36 year old (although Lamps wouldn't let us down), Carrick, i'm not convinced he's good enough at that level, we need a good ball winning holding midfielder in there, but not sure there's one about, was hoping Rodwell could be that man, but he's not proved it yet. J Milner is a good footballer (but no World beater), he does give a bit of versatility and has tournament experience, so could be useful as a squad member. Upfront we're seriously lacking at the moment, especially when you compare to the great strikers we've had such as Lineker, Shearer and Owen, and now we can choose from D Sturridge, A Carroll, J Defoe, R Lambert, none of those make me feel confident. if fit then Sturridge and Rooney are the only 2 certain strikers.. no doubt Welbeck will be going and Carroll will most likely be fit by then so Roy will have to choose between him and Lambert.

If Sturridge was any good then Man City and Chelsea wouldn't have got rid, he's an average Joe, Andy Cole was a better striker then Sturridge is and Cole wasn't international class.
It's gonna be left up to Rooney to get us our goals in the big games. |

Problem with City and Chelsea is that they had all the $$$ and instead of waiting for him to grow they got rid and wanted to buy strikers already in their peak.. Hes probably our best finisher along with Rooney.

Welbeck is first name on the squad sheeet after Gerrard(Captain) & Rooney(only World Class Player). Been England's best player for about 2 years....now if only he scored for his club like he does for England

Chamberlain would have to prove himself once he's fit again to even have a look in for me, and that's a big if he's fit

Rooney will swing for him by his 4th poor angle shot.

Walcott could even do a stint up top.
