There is another way, bit of a pain in the short term - remove the automated registration and make every new registrant be APPROVED by a Mod. irksome but it works.

make it so only people with 10 posts or more can make a thread(alot of forums also do this)

don't think this forum has the technical capabilities to use any of those methods, we will just have to put up with the abomination forever

almost 3/4s of the forums I use do one of those four suggestions. MTVN and his crew just don't want to put in the effort required(probably 5 mins max)

I will suggest it in Admin see what James thinks, the 10 posts before a thread one is doable cos we made it so you had to do that before making a blog post when the spammers were making loads of those

Would rather not have to do any approving though

It seems people in their 20s don't join social groups. Why don't people in their 20s don't more and more social groups?
