If they strip her of her pass then the whole opening theme of the series was an absolute joke.

"Someone gets a pass to the final! Except, if the public don't like them, they can still vote them out because we'll just take the pass to the final away. So... It's not ACTUALLY a pass to the final."

It's MUCH more interesting that a disliked housemate has a pass to the final.

Also regarding the threats of violence... Err... For those not familiar with the intricacies of Scottish accents... Let me just say this: Danielle was clearly not raised as a gentile "Lady", and I honestly don't fancy Helen's chances . Danielle sounds like she'd bottle someone in the face without breaking her stride.

On that second night I was actually worried that she was a bore. I thought a nicey nice housemate getting it was inevitable. Which would have made it pointless because nicey nice housemates make it to the final anyway, no pass needed.

And then the flipside, it going to a NOT nice housemate... If BB can simply take it away, then it was never a pass to the final in the first place? Her little lightbox picture that says "finalist" should have "(maybe, unless she isn't nice and people want her out)" in the small print.

TBH it's the only thing that's gotten me interested this year. I really want to see where this goes.

I agree, there was a massive chance that pass could have gone to an inoffensive fence-sitter that would do nothing all summer to warrant a place in the final and yet amazingly and thankfully Pauline seems to have picked the right person as it's gone to one of the main characters in the first few days. That's...a good thing. We need these people to stay in for the sake of the show because the public certainly wouldn't be keeping them around, and whether people are willing to admit it or not a hatable character staying in the show keeps viewers interested. People love to hate. That's the way this show works (especially with vote to evict) and if they can't get rid of her ever then that's even better.

I'm not going to sit here and lie, I'll admit I'm a bit hypocritical in the fact if it had gone to a bore then of course I'd be hoping it would be removed but so long as Helen continues the way she has done then I see no reason why she should lose it. This is a much, much better result than how you'd have expected it to go.

And really I guess if they're going to come up with these big new innovative twists that Emma said on launch night 'we've never tried anything like this before' - then surely they should stick to it?

Well I agree with that, she definitely should have been warned (but then again she might've been and we just don't know) not because I think the threat was serious...but because they like to give these warnings out for anything nowadays. So it's a principal thing.

I definitely agree about people loving to hate. Or, rather, I think it's the catalyst that helps people to really root for someone else and get involved. For example by the end of the show two years ago, I felt emotionally exhausted by the whole thing, but I look back on it as a great series because I got so invested - and it was purely down to the fact that I actively had a full on seething hatred for Conor. I didn't massively LIKE any of the others but I was rooting against his little group so much that I was daydreaming at work. Daydreaming about hate.
