Conclusion: Helen feeds him cheeseburgers, the friend doesn't, he'll be glad when Helen gets back and he can get cheeseburgers again. That is what I took out of it, you obviously take something different out of it but you didn't say what. Anyway, this is a ridiculous conversation really, whether someone gives their kid cheeseburgers or not, just as criticizing a teenager for having an inch of roots in her hair or having spots is ridiculous. I think we all need to get a little less petty about little things, myself included. It's like tit for tat, you see something petty about your fave, so you are petty about their fave in return. What are we all like? ![]() |

Helen is not my favourite at all, she is not even one of my top 4 of the 9 left, she and Ashleigh for instance are both near together with me at 5th and 6th respectively. Little between them, 6 of one and half a dozen of the other for me,however I even wouldn't make comments as to Ashleigh's boyfriend for instance who was taking on bbbots last night. Even if her letter had not come from him. So I see no need at all, speaking for myself at any rate, to speculate at what or may not be going on as to Helen being a Mother and her relationship with her 10 year old son or how she is bringing him up too. But if you want to ignore that then okay, maybe you should stop criticizing Ashleigh then and making personal comments about her because she is someones child too. I think I'll take a break for today because this place does my head in sometimes. |

uUOTE=jet;7110391]I made the comment about the cheeseburgers and then realized I was being petty and went on to say so.

I think I'll take a break for today because this place does my head in sometimes.[/QUOTE] I would hate for you to take a break because usually you say loads I agree with completely. Have done for a few years now too. The difference for me, not meaning it in a nasty way, is that Helen and Ashleigh are housemates and both adults too so are then fair game for praise and criticism. Helen's 10 year old son is not a housemate so,just for me anyway, shouldnt be in the frame. Last edited by joeysteele; 30-07-2014 at 11:55 AM. |

Shes spoke about her dog more than her son from what weve seen. She didn't really seem all that bothered about her son compared to her salon family in the letter.
It does seem shes kind of created her own sort of close knit group of friends who are like family. When I was in London I didn't see certain members of my family for years so its the next best thing.....Actually its better atleast you get to ****ing chose them lol. |

Helen laughed so I hardly think it was serious On the other hand, if an 11yr old is overweight then you're doing them a favour putting them on a diet now rather than a lifetime of dieting later! |

Totally agree. For myself I have resisted the urge to sign in after a bottle of wine in the evening or after Pimms in the park during the day It's fun to have faves and hate others, but sometimes we all get a bit carried away, in my case, particularly after a few bevvys I really like Helen and Ash but not confident they can win, I'd be really pleased if Ash gets to stay till the final along with her As for Ashleigh, I don't really hate her, she was a bit misguided with her friend choices early on which prevented her from having fun but all my bitching isn't even about her, it's just bitching, and her bf sounds like a nice boy so good luck to them I'm really okay with those left, though I'd hate Mark to win God I hate an epiphany this early in the day! |

I think Zoe, I didn't really have much of an opinion about her until her Tesco remark and the incessant singing
Pav will go next anyway, I would think, and even though Chris is getting creepier by the hour, I don't want any more original HM's to go before the newbies Just hope there's no twist next week to save Pav |

Anybody who goes 'off the rails' as she has, has the anger issues and default to confrontation that she has, is guaranteed to have had a bad childhood. with like 150,000% certainty. 95% of a child's brain is formed in their first 5 years based on their environment; epigenetics respond to environmental factors virtually from the day of conception where literally the genes turn on or off depending on the surrounding circumstances, and the mother and child are biologically a succinct system for the first few years (those hormones that the mother's body contain are passed on to the infant in utero and through breast milk. So a stressed mother will literally be providing their child with stressed out sustenance.) Genes have not been shown to impact on personality in even a slightly significant way. Her parents are awful and made bad decisions, and are even more awful if they would decide to disown her for responding in the normal way to an extremely dysfunctional environment. Although it's not surprising that her father would react in that arrogant, non-empathetic and non-compassionate way. 'Doing alright' is not how character and emotion are judged, and their professions don't have much to do with their inner emotional states and histories.

Many people have to make hard choices in life to survive and care for their families. Its 2014 people, these type of personal judgements are uncalled for. Lets stick to what we see in the house
