I don't usually like threads like this because it shouldn't matter if he's gay or camp (which are two different things btw) but the speculation about Joel is interesting to me because it reminds me of my own experiences. When I was 19 I was also a virgin, and I still didn't know (or rather I didn't want to admit to myself) that I was gay, I had quite a conservative upbringing so it was hard for me to come to terms with it and I stayed in denial for a long time throughout my teens, and didn't come out till I was 20 (which was when I lost my virginity). So yeah I can see some similarities between myself and Joel, and so it wouldn't surprise me if he turned out gay, if he follows a similar path to me. But everyone has their own path and his might be completely different to mine, or anyone else's on this forum who think they can analyse Joel based on their own experiences so personally I'm going to chose to respect
how he identifies himself rather than how he is perceived by others. If his self-identification as straight changes then good luck to him. If not, who cares? I've known plenty of straight men a lot camper than Joel. It's a personality trait, not a reflection of which gender you're attracted to.
