I agree. We are not equal. We should let each gender fulfill the roles we are good at and not disturb the balance of the force.

You really know nothing about me... (goes back to reading about the new gene therapy being used on mushrooms in Scientific America)

I'm showing that bolded bit to my husband

Yep, giving births tough, but its the final stages of labour pain I'd love a man to experience.

It is women who keep the building trade running smoothly, simply by adding some chocolate biscuits to the bait box in the morning.

not the women pulling out

the birth card

If men could get pregnant the whole shabang would be over in 3 months and all we would need is a ibuprofen and 2 minutes in the toilet

I would like to state here and now that you are far more likely to find a woman doing any of those jobs than me.

I think its largely "physical cabability" and also predominantly its accepted as a social norm that men take care of the 'heavy duty' whilst women use their social skills to provide 'people services'. It should no longer be unusual to fall in the other camp though e.g. male nurses, house-husbands, male beauticians

Neh. Because "equality" doesn't mean, or have to mean, "exactly the same". Males are in general physically larger and stronger, have better spatial awareness, and are better wired for logical / technical thinking which makes males (in general) better suited to manual labour than females.

Because generally, rightly or wrongly, men have more interest in...and are better at...manual labour jobs.

I don't think it helps when women have the piss took out of them either tbh. A friend of mine did mechanics when she left school. Has been fully qualified for like 10 years now and STILL gets people 'waiting for the boss' when they take a car in as they don't want a woman fixing their car?!

Yep, as females are genuinely (again, in general) better at multitasking, communication and social interaction than males. These aren't social constructs / anything to do with feminism or "patriarchy"... they are simple biological and neurological facts.

I thought that left brained/right brained men are from mars women from venus stuff had been debunked?
What job would women in all seriousness be excluded from due to all the physical and mental restrictions they have?...

Given most of you are dying when you develop a cold and take to the sofa/bed for 3 days...I somehow doubt this
