It is a shame, but the paper was targeted at people who don't buy newspapers. Maybe not the greatest idea in retrospect?

As Jamie said on page 1 of this thread, papers area dying industry, some slower than others but dying.

I doubt any new paper can take off and more and more younger people seem to never bother looking at a paper let alone buy one anyway.

Sad to see a better newspaper go however when so much gutter trash as to so called newspapers remain.

It was rubbish tbh and it did become clear quite quickly that it wasn't going to take off so probably sensible to nip it in the bud now rather than struggling on with it

Ah well if you like to digest copious amounts of lies and spin with your muesli then it probably wasn't for you

Although I suppose for the likes of kizzy who really value high quality, honest journalism, it is going to be sad to see front pages like this disappear from our news stands, they'll have to buy 'Pick Me Up' instead

Does 'pick me up' have articles on British arms sales to regimes? Well I must 'pick one up' then.

I was just about to come in with my 'I told you so' post

But yes it is a shame for them (and there are MUCH worse 'news'papers still going strong, and 9 weeks doesn't seem very long to allow it to take off... but then again...

Editor Alison Phillips said "we tried everything we could" ... ...

Although the title had a social media presence, it did not have a website.

I mean really, what did they expect in 2016?
