It's a domino effect. Once one drops, so will several others week after week as is what usually happens. That's what I meant by the 'starting' comment, the series will not be over with his eviction as there are plenty of other great housemates in this cast, but once again on BBUK it'll begin the decline. Quote me and see |

I understand why people hate him as a person, but hateful people make good housemates because they provoke a reaction. Reactions cause discussions and discussions lead to more attention on the show and that can only be a beneficial thing. The only reason this thread exists is because of vote to evict and the awful, illogical voting mentality and patterns it inspires, encouraging people to vote emotively with their hearts rather than their heads I've already said this cast has plenty of other great housemates so you must have missed that, my point is his eviction will start the yearly BBUK pattern where an integral housemate leaves one after another, and thus eventually the quality of the series will begin to decline. It happens most years and then people complain it's boring and wonder why, I'll be amazed if I'm wrong ![]() As a side note, the 'someone will step up to the plate' argument is always so strange to me...like, why take a gamble on a housemate who may or may not deliver (it doesn't always happen) when there's already one that is? Just seems like an unnecessarily risky move to me |

Until the 'characters' start going one after the other I don't see your point no matter how long winded you word it.
I wouldn't personally call Marco a character, just a drain - after he goes I won't have to be repulsed by him and Laura prancing around half naked and hear him irritating laugh any longer. There are far better characters getting a barely there edit in favour of him. Clearly we find entertainment in different things this series because I don't find Marco interesting or or even fun to loath.

They will start going one after another because they do almost every series. Like I said, quote me and see
![]() You may find him a drain, but by definition he is a character. Most of the discussions on these forums and on social media this series have revolved around him. That is a good thing and one which shouldn't be discouraged. And if there were far better characters in there, they would be getting an edit! You can't say things like that when all we have to go off is the edit itself, we don't have live feed anymore so it's impossible for anyone to speculate on such things You are letting your personal dislike of him (which I can understand, I'm not saying I like him as a person but there's a difference between people and housemates) get in the way of the logical argument that he should stay for the benefit of the series |

You seem to keep misinterpreting what I'm saying
I didn't say the series will die upon his eviction, this cast is far too good. I said his eviction will inevitably start the year-on-year decimation through the tradition of integral characters leaving one after the other, which in turn will eventually ruin the series It is a gradual process Last edited by Jack_; 17-06-2016 at 02:46 AM. |

All the people up are big characters tho Marco is just the only one people don't want to see anymore of. He's given all he can and frankly I'm not impressed.

Emma and Andy definitely aren't big characters, don't get me wrong they're promising and there's people I'd rather left before them and I actually quite like Andy, but they're nowhere near on the same level character-wise as Marco
I disagree that he's given all he can too, he is clearly infuriating to live with and over the last few days we've seen people begin to display and air that more and more and if he stays it will only get worse, discounting tonight's ep the showmance seems to have died down a bit so I think it would be his irritating personality grating on the housemates that would be the next problem...so why should we grant them their wish?! We aren't living with them He definitely has more to offer |

andy is an interesting character and I want to see more of him. I can see him growing to be a big character at one point. He's by no means boring imo and i don't see the point of cutting his journey short when he still has a lot to offer. I don't really care for emma but she isn't really boring she's proven herself to be quite clique and a bit of a drama starter, she's also a tad messy with all her breakdowns. All Marco has is that he is annoying and his showmance and even that seems to of dies down apart from him and Lauren he was pretty much in the background today. imo he's used up all his cards and I have no interest in seeing anymore of him.
