I am. It's politically correct to not complain about this twist in Beauty and the Beast. Shame, because I really was going to see this movie out of nostalgia for the classic cartoon.

Exactly. It's a minor detail about one of the characters. Why do they need to make a new film? They've not retconned or changed the story to fit it in. And it IS a new film.

Plus, given your previous posts, they've never done it before so they should never bother again new film or not.

I'm in two minds over this. On one hand I have absolutely no issue with them showing " gay stuff!!" in a kids film or any film, I don't see it as an issue at all and my kids see it as even less of an issue. If kissing is OK in a kids film then it doesn't matter who is doing the kissing.

On the other hand... ... ... not exactly the most positive example of a gay character?? "Hey kids being gay is normal... BUT you have to be the creepy piggy little friend perving over your ultra-masculine male friend." Sort of an offensive stereotype that plays directly into the mindset of the type of guys who shout "arses against the wall lads LOL LOL" when the gay kid walks into the changing room.
