She’s hardly a peasant. She’s brought up from a fairly normal background if you research, and Kate has no ‘royal blood’ in her like Diana did etc. she’s considered a ‘commoner’ just like Meghan.

She does speak to her mum she was the only family she had at the wedding I think. Her dad's side of the family is a whole mess and have been rumoured to be incredibly racist towards Megans mother so she much better off distancing herself from them.
