people are watching other things knowing they can catch up on a repeat or later or if something happens they'll hear about it.

Like others have said I think it is a combination of reasons. Plain fact is it is one of the most tedious to watch series. Also there is competition.

Britains got talent may not be top entertainment but like BB people will want to watch such shows hoping they are going to see something different....Thus far BB has not really come up with anything different. So people go elsware for entertainment.

The all girl twist was a brave gamble that I believe failed to have entertainment impact.......Squabling girls and hair curlers along with Carole displacing the water in the pool is enough to make one want to emigrate....A huge turn off by any standards.

As a long standing BB fan I keep watching and posting but I am not enjoying.....There are no story lines no plots. The tasks are feeble.

Two weeks in and it's not looking good. I hope after this week CH4 come up with a real interesting twist and kickstart BB into being BB.......If not then this may be the first year since BB1 that I have not retained a copy of a BB series....

Yeah I think that is why they are going for the sex theme to try and keep people interested.

With respect I have not noticed any "Sex theme". CH4 seem scared to show any rood bits like they would have 2 or 3 years ago.....It is to me a completely sexless BB this in spite of all the women at the start and all the men now added.....

Indeed Carole, Laura and Tracy combined is enough to turn any staraight guy off women for life..

Ok, wait... were only 19 days in... why are people so impatient.

And anyway, how cans ome people say its boring: 19 days in, and we've already had an all-girl house (brilliant idea, if you ask me), Ziggy entering, Emily being ejected, Seany and Gerry entering, Lesley leaving, 4 new guys entering, Shabnam being evicted. And on top of that, we've had some fun days with the tasks, and plenty of arguments to watch.

I think it's great this year, and come on... we've still got like 10 or so weeks worth of all that to come - and more! I bet we'll see plenty of twists, if people just stay patient. It'll be worth it in the end.

Also, I think people are taking their chance to watch Britain's got Talent... those programs are entertaining, and they don't come around too often. once it finishes tonight, I think the ratings for Big Brother will rocket up a little.

Many of my friends at school gave up watching Big Brother for Britain's got Talent, but I know for a fact that they'll all start watching BB again when it ends.

A true optimist. . As long as you are enjoying it that's all that matters. You are right in a way as it is only just early days and they may pull their finger out and give it a good kick start. So just take no notice of old impatient groaners like me... I'm still gonna groan though..

Hopefully X Factor will start after Big Brother because then i'll be able to watch it without Big Brother getting in the way. We wont be without Dermot on TV this year! Hopefully he'll be presenting BBLB and X Factor for a long time yet!

It gets beaten everytime by American programmes, even on a great day with peak figures, do you get bothered by that, too? I don't understand this thing about winning in the ratings, unless you work for channel 4.

Yep, Big Brother is on during the hour-break when BGT watchers vote for the winner. Yay for BB!

I like BGT, but I'm so glad it's ending tonight... I want ratings to rise again. >.< Anyway, I'm sure the ratings wouldn't sink dangerously low... BB is waaay too big to be ignored like that.

He he - why not just tape one and watch the other, then watch the tape later? That's what I do... except I always watch BB and tape BGT.
