You think people just want to shout racist rather than examining the disparity in the treatment between Kate and Meghan and being intellectually curious enough to wonder why that existed. You must have seen the newspaper comparisons by now.

There were a few disparaging comments by certain press on Meghan’s background, which was obviously very wrong, but mostly it was the press doing what they always do - pitting 2 women against each other.
This wasn’t anything new, they did it with Diana and Fergie big time, Fergie became ‘Frumpy Fergie’ and the ‘Duchess of Pork’, the bumbling buffoon, whereas Diana was the beautiful Angel of Mercy whose husband did her wrong.
They did it with Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. Elizabeth was the dutiful, loyal, clean living wife while Margaret was the boozing, fag smoking loose woman.
All white women, nothing to do with race, a lot to do with behavioural differences.

....and the right wing Daily Mail have never shyed away from breaking negative stories/having critical headlines about the Royal Family over the years....

Brexit was a nationalistic pursuit. If brexiteers actually voted to improve fishing and farming as they pretended, they'd be absolutely furious at the way those industries have been ravaged, but they couldn't give less of a sh1t because they got to stick it to foreigners to the detriment of the NHS, and all the other sectors we needed during the pandemic.

You are spot on. On this forum, as an example, those who disliked Meghan for her actions and the lies that poured out of her were called racists (and misogynists too) by those who we know are on the left and/or anti monarchy (even though, bizarrely, she holds on to her connection to the Royals with an iron grip and whined that Archie wasn’t to be given a Royal title! (which was incorrect).
I’ve asked many over the years why they support H&M so religiously and not one has ever been able to articulate why.
It seems that because she is mixed race, she was above criticism for her lousy behaviour and they were in their element being able to yell ‘racist’. They tried and failed to stop people commenting critically about her. It’s as plain as the nose on our faces.

My daughter only had two ginger kids in her primary school class (one girl one boy) - it was never an issue at all at primary school, of course it was commented on at high school but the worst the boy got was being called "Ed Sheeran" (which IMO is hugely offensive but nothing to do with the colour of his hair). The girl didn't get any ginger-abuse at all until she decided to cut her hair short... ... then she got "Ron Weasley" . I hate to say it though ... .. ... ... she does look a little bit like Rupert Grint circa Prisoner of Azkaban...

Anyway, that's the worst of it so I guess things must be improving, either that or I went to a particularly harsh school, because ginger kids took some serious flak at my high school.
