I used to get fish and chips after cub scouts ( 1968) .. Hand over two shillings ( 10p ) and still get change !!

I'm having fish and chips later today. My go-to is a simple haddock and chips. Regrettably we don't get Irn Bru in our local. Otherwise, that would be my ideal choice of beverage. In lieu of that, I'll probably just get a Diet Coke.

…yeah I’m a simple fish n chips girl also/it used to be that I would go for cod because they were often ready and waiting to be eaten but the haddock had to be cooked/so had to be impatiently waited for…but now, they tend to all be cooked while you wait here so I’ll go for haddock…or just chips with curry sauce, I’m fine with that as a main meal…

…fish n chips are so incredibly expensive in modern times…

It is. It's why it's best as a once in a while treat. Especially when it's been a long and draining week.

I always get the same. Infact if my chippy dude was rude he would laugh at me like that Chinese woman laughed at Miranda in sex and the city because she always ordered the same thing and cut her off mid order to laugh at her.


Fish, chips, fish cake, mayo and ketchup or burger sauce or if I'm feeling a bit wild-I swap the fish cake for the 6 piece chicken wings
