Horrible, insidious and sustained emotional abuse. The public support of Depp in this is an absolute mess, what he's doing right now with this lawsuit is an extended part of the abuse - there are messages showing this, explicitly stating that this is his plan - what more do people want?

Again do I think Amber Heard is probably pretty messy herself? Yes that seems likely. Again, she chose to get into a relationship with an extremely troubled older man with massive personal demons and addiction problems, it suggests not being in the healthiest place herself, but **** me... the people denying that he was abusive when there's documented evidence of it and one court has upheld it already. I’ll happily flat out say that the only possible excuse for supporting Depp in this is simple misogyny. The excuses made for him are insane. Yes it seems that it was a mutually abusive relationship fuelled by alcohol and drugs, sure, but that doesn’t absolve him of his part and he was twice her age when they got together. Whole thing is a mess and it would be fair enough to simply state that they both behaved horribly and that the relationship was toxic - but to paint him as a victim, her as a liar/evil, and engage with the memes from the courtroom? Flat out witch hunting.
