You've taken a stance that being skeptical/questioning of Posie Parker means being in support of the NZ mob or not condemning (or even maybe justifying) their violent actions which isn't a stance that anyone at all on this thread has actually taken.

I think politicians find this especially difficult to answer because, being politicians, their compulsion is to give an answer that won't offend anyone even if that means selective non-answering. But the simple fact is that on this issue... you can't. You can't take a stance of not offending anyone. Taking a simplistically firm stance in one direction will offend a large group of people, not answering will piss everyone off, and trying to divide the issue up and take a nuanced stance will clearly also piss off large numbers of people on all sides . There's no diplomatic voter-pleasing stance to take here so politicians need to just make a decision. Wee Nic ultimately ended up trying to walk a tightrope on the issue, tied herself in knots, and ended her decades-long career in a week.
