I honestly did not know about the politics connotations / symbolism,as I've seen so many casual watermelon designs on everything & not just t-shirts,but kids stuff . It was something I never gave a thought to , It just passively went by me , like a SpongeBob squepants PJ

…I guess for anyone who was aware of a connection with watermelon then they may be drawn to it in terms of the shape as well and realised immediately…but not so for anyone who wasn’t aware because all we would see is a watermelon on a t shirt which in itself has no political slant at all…it’s the shape that’s the indicator, isn’t it…

Her only other t-shirt with a message was supporting transgender people, I don't see how that makes her look performative. She wants to be on the correct side of history.

I didn't think the issue was the melon itself but that it was done as a map of Israel which would signify Israel being wiped out, look if Jews found it anti semetic who are we to judge, if I saw something that as anti Irish I would imagine many people who are not Irish would not have an issue with it

Controversially though (and I'm not just saying this to be nasty towards the Jewish) but every group/community it feels like is looking for any excuse to be offended by something these days.

weelll I think if you are sporting a tshirt that promotes a whole nation being wiped out then Jews have a right to be offended dont you think? if it were the other way round and she was wearing a tshirt that promoted Palestine being wiped out dont you think they would have a case to be offended? It's the Hamas supporters that pretend to be Palestine supporters that some people are thinking of I believe.
