Based on how similar 11 was to 12, and either of them were to 13?

They were all pretty different, apart from the core "Doctorish" Values.

Anybody who has ever watched Who consistently, especially since the rebirth, knows that that the doctor is essentially simultaneously bisexual and asexual at any given time, this theory that he’s suddenly been turned gay is frankly ridiculous

Exactly. In tragically online terminology, Doc has long been "biromantic acesexual."

And even if one incarnation has a preferential leaning for one gender, there's more to a character than that.

No one cared about that until a black gay man was the lead.

And the only people who are triggered by it, don’t even watch it.

Dr Who has been crap for a while, it had nothing to do with the female doctor or black doctor. They need to think about the next series carefully and make the writing better

But controversially Doctor Who has had problems for a very long time.

Long before Jodie Whittaker came along, and it's due to the Show lacking consistency in it's writing, which is important to every TV Show out there.

Who was Christopher Eccleston's main love interest?

Who was David Tennant's main love interest?

If I'm not mistaken in the early episodes of the Matt Smith era they did have him and Amy Pond flirting with each other, until admittedly Moffat backed away from the idea.

It's simply not true what you're saying.

That's 100% true.

The Show has had issues since Tennant left, and got really bad starting in the Capaldi era.

And controversially with some people, I honestly don't think that there is any issues with a black lead in Doctor Who, because on paper it shouldn't have issues with altered character dynamics.

The only real ‘love interest’ there’s ever been was River Song and even if what you’re implying was true, about the companions, it’s a canon fact that the doctor has had ‘flings’ with men before in his pas, your refusal to accept that and just barrel on with this misguided belief that they’ve made the doctor gay, which they haven’t done btw, completely out of the blue is based on nothing

Fair enough.

I think that we're just going to have to respectfully agree to disagree on this topic, after all Doctor Who especially is a Show where people rarely ever agree with each other.

Worst episode ever? Why Space Babies doomed Doctor Who

“Space Babies was at the extreme end of light and fluffy,” says Rob Irwin, co-host of The Doctor Who Podcast. “To be running around a spaceship with some babies and a ‘snot monster’ – who was really just misunderstood [he was revealed to be a pet] – put some fans off from the start.”

Many never returned. Ratings for Davies’s second tilt at Who have nose-dived ever since

So sharp has been the spiral – down 800,000 on 2024 and two million fewer than the not-especially-loved Jodie Whittaker era

But for sheer silliness Space Babies nonetheless took the interstellar biscuit – and a backlash against it has been building among the fanbase ever since, to the point where the episode arguably threatens to overshadow the entirety of the Gatwa era.

The hope was that this new era was going to fix all the issues and bring back Doctor Who. But what we got was Space Babies. That is what broke people’s hearts.”

Go woke, go broke

The writing really nose dived after Matt Smith left imo, and his era was a drop from Tennant's.

Episode 6 of 8

Started with Rylan Clark
Presenting a future pop show.

They should have made him look Older.

Then it goes into small studio setups (at Wolf Studios Wales, Cardiff)
with a few actors.

I assume they were making this for the US market?

if you're in cryostasis you'll look the same though, so they did do that part right

for example, in the video game Fallout 4, your character regardless of gender (Depending on who you choose to play as) also remains frozen for many many years, and also still looks the same as before he/she went into that stasis pod

i thought doctor who 2022 season 2 aka doctor who 2005 season 15 was a half half ok season

but its not compared to the old days from the early 2005 era aka the before disney took over days like when the doctors had sidekicks aka companions like rose taylor captain jack donna noble amy pond river song and rory williams and they took on many many mutants metahumans aliens and machines on screen and off screen like darleks and cybermen aka cyber people many times
