Dating and hookup apps I definitely understand having things in place to protect everyone involved from kids that shouldn’t be on there, but making fully grown adults jump through hoops that erode personal privacy to access things we’re legally allowed to choose to see is frankly, ridiculous

Kids as young as 8 have been found to be sending naked pictures of themselves The internet and access to it , adults allowing kids access and smart phones Clothes being made for kids in adult form parents allowing kids to wear These clothes Parents not actually being parents and guiding kids , kids don’t look like kids anymore by this I’m developing faster These are all factors in my opinion |

the problem is not with the technology, it's society itself that has the problem. You can never take things that were freely available in society even to kids and expect that to resolve the underlying issue.

You can call them and tell them to come home or they can call and ask to go somewhere else, so it has a safety aspect to it But there are not many things in life that don’t have a plus side and a negative side |

Virtual private network (VPN) apps have become the most downloaded on Apple's App Store in the UK after sites such as PornHub, Reddit and X began requiring age verification of users on Friday.
VPNs can disguise your location online - allowing you to use the internet as though you are in another country. It means that people are likely using them to bypass requirements of the Online Safety Act, which mandated platforms with certain adult content to start checking the age of users. As of Monday morning, half of the top ten free apps in Apple's app download charts in the UK appeared to be for VPN services. And one app maker told the BBC it had seen an 1,800% spike in downloads. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn72ydj70g5o --------------------------------------- Told ya

you can't stop kids doing something they have a mind to do. If they don't have a phone they can steal one, or buy one cheap second hand. They will always find a way when adults stop them doing something they want to do
The fundamental issues are around education and society Last edited by bots; 28-07-2025 at 04:49 PM. |

If the purpose is to protect kids from inappropriate content and groomers, why does the Bill include having elite teams looking for anti-illegal migrant posts?
If the purpose isn't to be utilised to enact government overreach and erode online privacy, why does the Vill actively enable such things? |
