That's from 'Got my Feet on the Ground' by 'The Kinks' ROB

OK, what's this then

The photograph on the dashboard, taken years ago,
Turned around backwards so the windshield shows.
Every streetlight reveals the picture in reverse.
Still, it's so much clearer.
I forgot my shirt at the water's edge.
The moon is low tonight.

One of my fave's Lee - REM

Nightswimming.

Now I tried not to answer this one because I am going away for a week, but I did anyway.

So if I am right, can I nominate Kaph c to do the next one, cos I only just beat her to the Queen one.........

, that was one of the few lyrics I should have been able to get. 'Automatic for the People' is one of my favourite albums.

So near and yet so far...

OK, this one is an old and a new song:

"Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday – happy birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen – sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me – no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what’s my lesson
Look right through me – look right through me"

Good luck!

I know!

Mad World by Tears for Fears, also by Gary Jules in the film Donnie Darko.

And now Alex Parks.

I've been listening Alex's album. Considering I'm not really a fan, it's better than I thought it would be. Pretty good actually.

Absolutely correct James! I love the version that appears in Donny Darko.

Over to you for the next lyric ...

Sometimes you're better off dead
There's gun in your hand and it's pointing at your head
You think you're mad, too unstable
Kicking in chairs and knocking down tables
In a restaurant in a West End town
Call the police, there's a madman around
Running down underground to a dive bar
In a West End town

Being a huge Beetles fan I know this one. It's Come Together.

Here's mine

I don't give a damn
'Bout my reputation
I've never been afraid of any deviation
An' I don't really care
If ya think I'm strange
I ain't gonna change
An' I'm never gonna care
'Bout my bad reputation

Oh no, not me
Oh no, not me

Half Cocked---Bad Reputation

From the wonderful "Shrek"

Did you know they're doing Shrek 2 with john Cleese as Fiona's father?

It's going to be fantastic!

Here's my lyric............

Chance for me to escape from all I know.
Holding back the tears.
There's nothing here has grown.
I've wasted all my tears,
Wasted all those years.
Nothing had the chance to be good

Funny you should mention that Janette, I posted the lyrics after watching Shrek the other day (although it was the featured version by Joan Jett ). And I think John Cleese will be great as the Dad .

I'm feeling quite proud of myself I've got 2 of these right now and I'm usually useless.

Anyway next one:

Well, there aint no luck
In these loaded dice
But baby if you give me just one more try
We can pack up our old dreams
And our sad lives
We’ll find a place where the sun still shines

This is a classic!

"Last time that we had this conversation
I decided we should be friends
Yeah,
but now we're going round in circles,
tell me will this deja vu never end?"

What about this one then..

Yes I think I'm okay
I walked into the door again
Well, if you ask that's what I'll say
And it's not your business anyway
I guess I'd like to be alone
With nothing broken, nothing thrown

Here comes another:

"I was in your arms
Thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense
Building me a fence
Building me a home
Thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool
Playing by the rules"
