I never said smoking was prohibited, it is not encouraged unlike drinking which is just bad but a lot of young Muslims do not respect that rule no more.
Just to clarify, being born into a Muslim family does not automatically make a person a Muslim.

Ok I apologise but to me it is the complete truth.
If people were more understanding with their beliefs and could see it from someone else’s side and didn't make statements like that, there would be a lot less trouble surrounding religion.

It’s all the ‘holier than thou’ attitudes of everyone thinking they’re right and everyone else is wrong that promotes the divides and leads to the hostility that exists between different faiths.

I agree with your comments. It's much better to carry out one's faith and set an example that way, rather than set about 'preaching' in all the wrong ways. Making bold statements to people who may well not be interested at all is included, and if anything it puts them off.

However, he has apologised now - so it's probably best to let it drop.

That's fair enough - this is nothing to do with your girlfriend. I was on about in general.

Alex isnt a real muslim. In south London there are a lot of gangs that require you to convert to join. This is because a lot of gang members who go to prison ended up converting inside then coming out continuing to participate in gangland activity.

Her ex-boyfriend (on murder charges) is part of a big muslim gang, which is why Im guessing she decided to convert.

Islam never allows hostility of other faith as it is mentioned several times:

2:256 "There is no compulsion in religion, for the right way is clearly from the wrong way"

2:62 "Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the Sabians; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve."

Yes. Sure. It's a religion that kills people over newspaper cartoons.

Then she is wrong IMO, in the Quran a man is given responsibility, not superiority, which means a man should look after his wife and children, earn for them because bioligically a man is physically stronger so he has been given his duty to perform it, and guide them, but he cant force them if they disobey him, thats all in the Quran that force and dictatorship is prohibited, only he should guide them. Smoking isn't neccessarily prohibited but it discouraged. Drinking though is completely prohibited.
You basically proved my point without being aware of. You just said the man was stronger and was responsible of his family.

Yes Biolgically he is stronger so he can perform his duty better, he has 100% financial obligation to his wife, a wife can work if she wishes in the community according to Islam buts its not compulsory, but a choice and all her earnings is hers and she doesn't have spend the money as God has made a husband responsible for the financial aspect.
Biologically he's stronger? Religion doesn't deal with facts. Thanks.

Eh? If you're on about the Danish cartoons, they were disrespectful to the religion itself in the first place.

I'll be honest and admit I haven't heard of any killings though.

As a general rule, please remember not to get personal, or make offensive statements on TiBB.

In our belief is everyone in the world who is born was born sinless and born as a muslim, its later when they grow up they convert to another religion because their parents are not muslims.

Unless it's a cartoon in a newspaper.

Alex has been a Muslim for two weeks. She's a ****ing idiot.

Doesn't she realize that not every religious person is Conservative, and a backwards idiot?

She needs to head to Iran.

She should have her face covered. Then we wouldn't have to see her dog face. Too bad they don't use muzzles.

There were death threats to the people who drew the cartoons and rewards placed on them for their deaths, police even arrested people for plotting to murder them. They also torched a couple of Danish embassies if I remember correctly.

What would you do if someone accused and said something against your mother or father without any proof.

I know that part too (I don't know many but the principal ones lol) but I told that member on a social side, not the religious one.
You have better chances to adopt your family's religion than another one, no matter what this religion is.

It was a demonstration against allegation made against our beloved prophet, the video fitna was totally edited and verse twisted around to show Quran emcourages killings of every non-believers when the verse only refers battle to a war in self-defence against the cruel Pagan tribes of mecca.
