I do agree that hitting a woman is very wrong and only the lowest of the low do this. My point being that it is also wrong for a woman to hit a man. Moreso, in fact, if she believes she can do this and get away with it because men should not hit them back. All violence is bad. Size should not come into it.

A lot of women take advantage of this fact though and we are not as physically weak as some think. We can take a hit and can put up a good fight.

And because of that men are beaten by their partners, too scared of raising a hand, knowing that he'd get done for it.

My father was the only male in our household and he abused me, my sister and my mother. I know what it's like and I feel very strongly against ANY violence.

I do see your point - but size does come into it - because it is more likely to result in injury.

If a woman repeatedly slapped a man - then I would suggest he leave her - the same advice I would give to a woman who was repeatedly slapped by a man.

Violence of any kind is a no no - but some more so than others. I agree feminism is about equality - but as there is no equality in their physical strengths - for a man to hit a woman back would not be equal.

I can see your point, but I don't agree for the most part. If I shot you with a 9mm pistol would I get a lesser sentence than if I shot you with a shotgun? No. I know it's wildly different, but do you see me point? Sometimes it isn't the damage done that is the problem, it's the intent.

I understand a man's strength overwhelms a woman's, and the majority of men, for this reason, would not hit a woman back, but women know this and feel it's okay to hit a man because she is weaker than him. It's not at all. If I slapped a man in an unprovoked attack, I would expect a slap back.

For the most part I do agree with what you say - but if that man did slap you back - would you have any respect for him? Two wrongs don't make a right.

Hyperthetically - if you had previously been warned by that man (if he was a partner) that if you slapped him again he would leave - and you did, then he should leave - or even press charges of assault.

You probably wouldn't be so quick to do it again in another relationship.

If a man slapped me back, it would teach me not to be such a jerk.

The man I am seeing now does not take **** from me and I respect him for that. When we first got together, we were fighting once (playing) and I slapped him.
