I don't think they should be told. They know the rules on outside info and so do we.

It is probably wrong to say this but there may be people in the house who would use this sad news to play up to the cameras. I'm not, for one minute suggesting there are, but if it did happen it would be in extremely bad taste and another reason, I think, that they should not be told.

Of course they shouldn't be told. If you go and tell them every little bit of news, you might as well just give them newspapers. There isn't that much news that they really need to be told about. If there was an election called, and the vote would take place while they're in the house, then yes, they would need to know about that, or if a nuclear war started, or maybe if Obama was assassinated or something huge like that, but not some celebrity death, no matter how famous.

Only if you confuse the death of prominent world leaders with the power to effect your life down to the most fundemental level with a song and dance man...

but then they would just elect a new president, so it woudnt effect any of the housemates life.

Now thats a good point, they are bound to, unless they are already in hiding!!!
I expect a new h/mate will let it slip when they are in there!

I don't agree, I think they should be told, but oh well.

I hope they'll tell Angel or Freddie in their eviction interviews, I want to see the reaction.

That's why I hold the tabloids in such contempt, they called him 'Wacko Jacko' but now he's the 'king of pop'!

its absolutely ridiculos they should tell them, this day will go down in musical history, i think the housemates will be very very angry at big brother when they get out, its not really fair as the american housemates on cbb found out about barack obama becoming president so the normal housemates should know this devastating news

Your comparing the death of a faded pop star to the change of leadership of the most powerful anbd unfluential nation on Earth?

But he isn't a faded pop star, he is a musical legend, this day will go down in history just like Obama's inurguration will, I know it's not the best thing to compared but it's true.
