Yesterday Bernard gave everybody the impression that had been his last game. I'm watching ESPN now, and they're saying it was between Porto and Arsenal and he chose to play for a stronger league.

yeah i heard Porto were in the mix too, looking at twitter the Brazilians seem pretty certain hes coming to Arsenal.

Some deluded people. If they sell him for less than a record, then s**t will hit the fan.

Liverpool are in the position where £50,000,001 isn't any good to them, as we couldn't attract the players at the level required to replace him. BR knows we have to be progressing or he's out next summer (judging by their previous records with managers), so he'd be better telling him he's going nowhere, as he needs him more than he needs the money.

Even if Suarez hands in the tr, can you honestly see him not giving his all in every game if he's not allowed to go?

Madrid and Arsenal are the only two teams that have had any interested in him and Madrid have come out and said they arent interested in a striker now so it looks like we'll be the only team offering to take him. I thought £40-50M would be a realistic offer and it would be accepted but if they do accept an offer from Arsenal they can say goodbye to a CL spot next season. Its clear from the game yesterday he doesn't want to be there at all and i have my worries about his attitude if he comes to us.

That's perfect. Just because there is only one team in for him, it doesn't mean you have to sell him for 10-15(14,999,999) m below his value. Of course he looks like he doesn't want to be there at the moment as he's posturing for a move.

They can't sell him for less than a record fee, especially to Arsenal. I'm not saying you won't get him, but I am saying you won't get him for anything less than £50m, and if you do, then some serious questions need to be asked of FSG and their true intentions for the club.

Nanis my fav player for a reason. He might be inconsistent but he doesn't get enough chances. He has one bad game and gets dropped. Valencia has 10 bad games in a row and starts every game. Nani jus needs games to start him up and regain form. World class match winner on his day.

Always rips apart the top teams aswell. Especially arsenal.

with all the mess thats going on now i think Liverpool will soon be happy to see the back of him. He thinks theres some type of release clause thats been triggered that allows him to speak to Arsenal and to leave but the club say its just a clause that means they have to inform him that a bid has been made.. so if the club are in the wrong this will get very messy and could go on for some time. Id be speechless if we put in a £50m offer but i cant see it happening, i'm already shocked enough as it is with £40M.

If Luis Suarez wants to join Arsenal, maybe he is just trying to get a bit closer to Uruguay in London but not close enough?

I can see Brendan Rodgers digging in his heels and trying to keep hold of Suarez, since he does owe Liverpool a lot of loyalty after they stuck by him over the saga.

Lionel Messi is talking crap too denying that he had any choice on who the next Barcelona Manager would be, it does not take a rocket scientist to know that Messi is obviously a very powerful person there behind the scenes too.

That works in Liverpools favour, if any legal s**t happens it will automatically miss the next 2 transfer windows, which is what Liverpool want (or BR at least). It will also lead to a massive fine for Arsenal, as they should have no idea about the clause in his contract, and when we found out about Ziege's Boro contract release clause a few years ago, we got fined for tapping up. Legal precedent is in place. That extra 1 penny on the bid could have actually cost your club a hell of a lot more.

I can't stress how important next season is for BR. He holds all the aces, but whether FSG pull that hand from him remains to be seen (I think they're a bunch of idiots personally). If he finishes in the same position as this season, that's his job gone imo. Can you see Liverpool finishing much higher without Suarez?

If you get to £50, then you have a real chance, but I think it will need to break the record for the club to justify selling him to the team most likely to drop out of the top 4 out of all of them. Although secretly I'm hoping the Moyesiah doesn't let me down.
