Not in my book anyway.
They key to this is to turn all the field hospital into covid quarantine hospitals for ALL the badly infected patients. This keeps ALL covid out of the main hospitals. Transfer the staff needed from main hospitals to these field hospitals. Thus allowing main hospitals to be covid free and actually carry out other life saving treatments. It will also reduce the infections in patients and staff and less staff will be off sick and self isolating. as usual the brainless media sheep dont mention this, just as they havent mentioned closing the chanel tunnel

Reducing the burden on the NHS was the main reason for the last lockdown and according to the data guy on sky news not 20 mins ago this lockdown is for the same reason, theyve apparently been shown new data saying the infection rate will rise a whole lot more than previously expected within 8 weeks ie xmas, causing the NHS to buckle

Yes and that was the main reason for the field hospitals and the 45000 beds, but they simply havent been used , why?

Lockdown slowed infection rate enough that the main hospitals were no longer struggling so there was no need to use the nightingale?

They haven't the staff.
They opened them but haven't got the staff in place needed.

I don't get personal.

I don't agree with you, you don't me.
You were the one who jumped in to try to tell me I'm wrong.
Now you're inferring I'm thick.

I'll send back to you don't get personal then.

I certainly don't need educating on covid from you thank you.
I've lost enough people to last a lifetime already to it.

You end up in hospital, hospitals can't cope, get overwhelmed, lives are lost.
So why was this not done earlier to stop that happening.

Or do lives not matter if they're lost if hospitals aren't overwhelmed.
Unbelievable.

That is utter madness, the field hospital would quarantine the disease so it would NOT spread through the main hospitals to other patients and staff. Put ALL the covid in 1 building away from everyone else. Then all staff to wear a tonne of PPE in the covid hospitals. This is the ONLY way to defeat this disease.

The main hospitals can then be used for all other procedures, all of which as are also essential. 25 million plus cancellations in main hospitals in 6 months because patients and staff are too scared to go there in case they catch it. with ALL covid sent to quarantine hospitals all that fear and infections in the main hospitals would disappear.

please do not fall for the line these field hospitals are not needed, they are needed and will be essential in the coming months. BUT they cannot be used for regular patients as they do NOT have the essential equipment, mris , x rays, ct scanners , operating theatres etc etc so they can ONLy be used for covid. The governments have dithered and failed to act on them, they must do so NOW

The numbers of staff then off with covid whether infected or self isolated or through fear of cathcing it would all fall through the floor. so far more staff would become available.

Well yes.
That should have been done from the end onwards of the last lockdown.

They took away the official protection of the vulnerable, even for those who wanted it.
