Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has told the club he wants to stay at Anfield.
Suarez, 25, served an eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra this season and has reportedly been the subject of interest from Paris St Germain. The Uruguay international told the club website: "There are a good few years left on my contract. I want to carry on enjoying myself because both my family and I feel really happy here." Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax in January 2011, signing a five-and-a-half year deal, and has since scored 15 goals in 42 appearances for the Reds. "I have spoken with people at the club," he added. "They know that I want to stay and that I am enjoying myself and am very happy here." Great news Last edited by Locke.; 19-03-2012 at 05:05 PM. |

Suarez is a great player he just needs to sort his attitude out.

Makes it more entertaining and interesting how he is, don't want him to change tbh. Kinda like how I want Balotelli to stay the same

Can't blame other teams fans for not liking him he is just that sort of player, I probably wouldn't like him either if he played for another PL club. But when you have that sort of player at your club that pisses everyone else off, it's great

Club biases always come into this. Ronaldo is probably the biggest **** to play in the premier league. He's also up there with Henry as the best player, too.
Cantona attacked a fan, Keane deliberately tried to end another players career (as admitted in his own autobiography), Fergie forced the previous shareholders to sell to the Glazers because he was suing the Magniers racing people. Fergie took a bung, but kept the money in a safe, and has more convictions for racism than anyone else in the league. He also used to force players to sign up with his son who was an agent. Suarez doesn't have a conviction for racism by the way. I guess it's all about perspective, though. We all turn a blind eye to our own clubs arseholes, and the arseholes in our rivals teams are just magnified. |

I can see why people didn't like Ronaldo but he is not in anyway on the level of Suarez in terms of being a prick.

I can see why people don't like Suarez, too. But this fake racism story shouldn't be the major reason. |

Let's not forget refusing to shake the hand of someone you were judged to have racially abused. Suarez has singlehandedly destroyed the respect so many people had for your great club(myself included). Ronaldo never reached those levels as far as I was aware.

Let's cut the crap, here. All this "respect I had for your club" nonsense, is exactly, that. Nonsense. I've read some of the stuff written on here, so cut the pretense.
Suarez has a past, but don't tell me for one second, that if Ingerlunnds trogolodyte captain, JT had handballed on the line on the way to us progressing into the late stages of the WC, he wouldn't be a hero to 90% of the country. Fergie doesn't shake hands with people all the time. Suarez knew that Evra had lied about what was said (I think he should have just shaken his hand) between the pair of them, so if he has principles then I can understand. Fergie has racism conviction. Keane said he tried to do Haaland, and end his career. Cantona used to stamp on people all the time, and rake his studs down the back of opposition players. He kicked a fan, then punched him in the stand, too. Cantona was no saint. Suarez is no saint either, but you've had some absolute football arseholes in your team, and I doubt you would of ever moaned about them? Cantona had done loads of violent things to his own team mates in France, too, if you want to bring up Suarez's past. Like I said, we look at these things through rose coloured spectacles. But don't pretend that people loved Liverpool before Suarez joined, because they didn't. How about all the Hillsborough songs? The Liverpool slum songs, The Heysel songs, the bin-dippers, throwing scousers on bon-fire songs? Yet all of these are allowed. But we have a player who can be a bit of a nasty ****, and all of a sudden the world will end. What Suarez does, is allow people like you who hate Liverpool football club, to pour out your hatred, but because you can channel it all at one man, you can get away with it. Fergie and United get a free pass with the **** they've pulled down the years. |

I did have respect for Liverpool. Hell, we are the two biggest clubs in the country. It's all good though. You can remain being bitter.

I'm not bitter, at all. Just shining a few facts back at your simplistic bull****.
Funny how you can pinpoint a reason why you don't like Suarez, but your manager has done much worse, but you wouldn't dream of supporting someone else. This faux outrage is very selective. |

Fair enough the stuff he said is bad. Also I thought Bernard Manning was a comedian that only used racist jokes?

All hail the Moyesiah
|
Doesn't really matter, and the term negro may not be offensive in his culture and country but it is here, and it was to Evra. I don't think Suarez is a racist but part of playing in a new country is to become more aware of, and to adapt to, the places culture
