What Rihanna should be doing: Taking a well earned break from music and working in general, not only taking stock of her life etc, but going back to the studio with a new and positive outlook, and ready to record some fresh music that's good etc.

She doesn't do much of the hard work at all. Doesn't write any of her own material, she may have co-writer credits on some songs but she likely wrote about 2 lines and claimed the credit for it like Beyonce does. Every picture I see of her lately, she's out partying.

She doesn't do that much touring compared to other artists, she makes most of her money from her digital sales. Doesn't do that much promo either, she did none for her last single You Da One and has only done 1 bit of promo on the Jonathan Ross Show for her new single Talk That Talk. This whole era is a mess. She filmed a video for TTT but it's unclear whether she'll ever release it or if she's moved on already, announced on Twitter that Birthday Cake feat. Chris Brown was a new single and the other day said she had finished filming a video for Where Have You Been. She can't use the excuse she was touring for lack of promo neither because her Loud tour finished in December.

Im not really in the know with all this I just tend to see her at most big shows and award shows performing, she just seems to be everywhere all the time....

And Callum, I agree that this era is a complete mess, but she never filmed a video for Talk That Talk.

I personally think people have jumped on the bandwagon against her, definitely noticed a few TiBB members do this. I agree with the core of the argument, that she should tame things a little down regarding sex, but I think shes great and always comes across likable in interviews. And her albums are always a good mix of dance, R&B and ballads.

She works her arse off, wont let anybody tell me that she dont cause she clearly does. Writing is not for everybody (I never get this point... if all musicians wrote that would cut the jobs of so many song writers...), but she gets about to a load of shows + venues and releases 100's of tour dates. And has even started dabbling in acting now.

People are fed up because she is over-exposed 'tis all, but she is competing with the likes of Gaga, Katy Perry, ADELE... who imo are also very over-exposed. I happen to like Ri the most though so dont mind. Shes a lot more diverse but should have a 2 year break and really perfect the next album.
